Was unsure on the title, wondering what may be your thoughts and/or if any couples can relate.

I have always wondered how it comes about for couples in a relationship who can extend to being intimate with others in their company? (Swinging) It must be from unlikely situations

Just curious or maybe a little bit envious and sad I haven't found that yet (not that I think you can really intentionally find life partners you can also enjoy swinging with) as I believe I have these sexual desires to meet. I'm talking about being with someone you love and enjoying/sharing the presence of a couple more.

I suppose you might say I strongly believe variety is the spice of life whilst being true to yourself and respecting others.

Well we were on holiday celebrating our first year together , and getting engaged . We went out of an evening , got a bit more daring and began having fun on the beach in the evening , and noticed a few guys around us watching . We liked that , carried on , and started swinging when we got home .

It's just sex, it isn't love.

I do think though that only couples with strong communication and a solid relationship can swing successfully.

For us our emotional relationship is entirely separate from swinging and will always remain that way. What we do with our bodies with other people doesn't impact on that unless we conceal it from each other.

Exactly the point, if you are in love with someone you will 'generally' be focused on them and swinging is just something of a peculiar part to develop from what I can see.

I don't think people go out there to meet people who will swing with them, not saying it doesn't happen but from someone who might have aspirations for that to happen they are going to find it difficult?!

Yes, I think you might. From what I can see lots of singles use swinging as an interim measure rather than something they would continue with a partner. All I can say is if you meet someone you would like to be your partner establish good emotional and sexual communication early on and make it clear from the start that swinging is something you would like to do.

For me it was heat of the moment chat which lead to a conversation about what we had done and what we fancied doing. I have a very fuck it why not attitude and Mr is as blunt as a hammer so easy to say nah I don't like that and move on. I don't think this has changed our relationship in any way and we hardly talk about meets or fab in general. It's not really a significant part of my life but when we do have meets it's fuckin awesome and you just enjoy it and take it for what it is. I can't get my head around people who do this to get the spark back or to fix a crap relationship tho. Think you have to be very open and confident with each other to do this. We are both so laid back and tell each other everything ...it's just an added extra to a fuckin brilliant relationship

For us it had been in my wank bank for a while. One day google how to spice up your love life. Found the game 20 questions via text. Some of the questions were shite so I put a few of my own in. I've always found women sexually exciting, I met Fred at 17 having very little experience with women but they featured highly in my fantasies, I never saw any reason not to share them as part of our sex life, we used to talk about it loads but never knew how to pursue it. I don't blame women who don't. 90% of porn is quite degrading to women and doesn't depict sex in a good way. If it was a little more true to life as such maybe people wouldn't have such bad experiences.
