Well first off the ratio of guys to girls on here is insanly unbalenced so single guys have to put more effort in to stand out.

And in regards to the whole wined and dined thing, I presume you are talking about people asking for social meets first, which I am all for. Its a nice way to get to know the person you are meeting in a safe environment and no one that I have met have expected me to pay for them or anything.

That is true, on the whole people are not looking for ‘happy ever after’. People are typically looking for recreational sex. I guess at one end of the scale there is dating. Dating probably costs time and money. The other end of the scale is hiring an escort. This saves time but costs money.
