Never looked but sent a friend request?

How can somebody send a friend request when they've never viewed our profile. Very odd. I'm asking about the technicality rather than the fact they might not fancy us! I sent a friendly message suggesting our profiles were pretty incompatible and got an 'aw shame' message back. Curiosity got the better of me so I accepted to view the friends pics and way more extreme than us! Messaged again and even though they've been online many times since the message shows as unread. Have now unfriended them but really quite puzzled!

Look your profile avatar is enough to initiate a friend request for many ,never be surprised here because theirs always something more surprising around the corner

They’re probably in stealth mode. You can set your preferences not to show on ‘looked at me’.

It’s what I do to prevent restraining orders

This and people send friend requests in the hope that you will accept so they can see your fiends only pictures.

We only accept if we're likely to meet or might chat for a long period of time. We never just accept a random request.

Account / privacy settings / hide on looked at me.

At least that’s what works on the mobile site. I’ve never used the desktop version.

Sometimes we aren't together when looking at Fab. If I've already looked at somebody and want to show my other half I don't want them to think it means we're really keen. Some people assume that more than one view means you are super keen! Sometimes I just like to browse

Be aware that if/when you come out of 'hidden views' mode then those views will be revealed .

Thanks for the heads up. Will they show from when you looked i.e fall off the bottom of the list eventually if its over a week??

Yes, they will appear in the list pertaining to when you looked rather than being treated as a brand new view when you come out of ninja mode. Not sure how long the list lasts for - I suspect it's for a couple of months as that is what my viewed me list is showing, but may be less depending on how many views the profile gets. I guess whether something lower down the list gets spotted or not depends on how much the person takes notice of their viewed me list.
