Single guys tend to get a bad rap here and at times it can be difficult to get to know couples or females (one of the reasons I use another site).

I love this site and after being here on and off for years wish this was different.

Out of the couples and females on fab how many of you make the first move? Out of the guys how many of you often receive messages out the blue from couples/females?

I quite often receive either messages or winks - the latter then initiates a message and face pic from myself.

Many of my meets have been as a result of couples or single women initiating contact...especially the former

Out of the messages where a reply is sent from either party, and basic convo starts, I'd say it's 70% me making first contact, single female aout 20% and couples 10%.

There are a lot more men's profiles to search through on here, compared to female profiles, even when you pop your preferences on the advanced search. I have tried it. Even had men blocked, so I could search myself on an older profile. It was a bit of an impossible task, to be honest. Though I did send a couple of messages out, to the ones I did like the look of. There were just too many profiles.

I much prefer to make the first move and send a message first. Have done for the 6 years I've been here.

I have often done my own searches to try and find someone I like, unfortunately the majority of men's profiles are so lacking in information and pictures it is impossible to construct a first message, and I refuse going down the 'hi' lazy route

I would further add that many couples state in their profiles "single men, we will find you" (or some such) and believe it or not, but many of these couples do just that!

That’s exactly what I’ve found. Especially recently there seems to be loads that just say ‘I am a (age) year old man looking for women and couples.’

I’ve messaged guys before but mostly when I’m looking for a meet now or if I’m in a different place and I use the ‘who’s nearby’ thing.

Occasionally someone will catch my eye on the updates but not happened a lot.

Never sent a wink and never looked at them either.

With other couples I'd say it was 50/50, with single guys it's always us who make the first move due to our filters but I'm usually the one looking and I always test the water with a wink first

I never sent the first msg. Only because I was overwhelmed by msgs & then I'd end up getting pissed off with the 'wanna fuck' msgs & I'd delete the account. Now, if I could filter the 'wanna fuck' guys then I'd have more time to search.

I'm able to look now that I've put out there that I'm not meeting anyone right now & there are definitely guys I will msg once I'm healed & able to meet again.

I have only messaged once on here I think. Mr is far more likely to message first although rare

I chat a lot on here so I'm more likely to pick one of them for a meet rather than start from scratch. I don't really like messaging first as you can sum up someone from their first few messages x

I have been approached by one couple, which resulted in a lovely couple of meetings and I hope will be repeated.Have also received messages which went nowhere despite the couple wanting the same as me.Get quite a few from single guys, don't know why!

Some of the best meets I've had have been with guys I've messaged first. If I'm sick of messages from guys I'd never meet I sometimes find hiding and looking myself works well.

narrow replies down to just 3 well chosen words that'll out a few ,you can generally tell by usernames,that's a good indication eg .......ribtickler or cockolicious

Very rarely receive messages in answer to ones I've sent to females.

Very rarely receive messages from females.

Or even winks from females.

Or even visits from females.

Never mind, I'm happy in myself, knowing what they've missed out on.

narrow replies down to just 3 well chosen words that'll out a few ,you can generally tell by usernames,that's a good indication eg .......ribtickler or cockolicious

I sang 'cockolicious' like Fergilicious he he...3 words? What would you suggest?
