Does anyone know of anything worth visiting for sun fun, that isn't hedonism?

Interested to see answers to this - I'm toying with the idea of booking something for September but I'd possibly be going as a single female so a swinging resort would feel safer than trying to get cabs to a club alone.

We're off to La Mirage in Gran Canaria on October 23rd.

We love the resort as it's full of like minded people that know how to have fun.

However it's worth noting that it's a holiday first and time to chillout and relax is top of the list. If swinging happens then all the better. Sometimes there's people there we want to play with other times there's not. Just like going to a club in uk.

It isn't the most glamorous place in the world. Secrets club and comeback bar and imagine bar are our favourite haunts.

It's very much about the people and what you make of the holiday... we love it.

To be honest that sounds spot on - a chilled week in the sun and if something extra happens, it happens.

I would bet that if you booked say a week at La Mirage and posted not he Spain forum you were going I'd bet you made lots of friends before you even got there.

23rd October- 1st November I know for a fact there's going to be some very chilled out party people in town lol

Just had a peruse of your profile I better add that La Mirage is predominately couples however we have seen singles there more than once.

We have a group of about 7 or 8 couples going and we pretty much wonder in and out of each other's apartments as and when. It's a brilliant social few days away.

We would love an addition xxx.

It's a toss up at the minute between a swingers resort, or a standard adults only hotel near a club. I think we're looking for something a bit better than basic in regards to amenities, but still want the potential of play.

La Mirage is very clean. But it is self catering.

We usually have lunch at the apartment but eat out if an evening.

The one thing La Mirage has that other places don't is that swinger chilled out, relaxed vibe. We have friends that stayed at a hotel year before last and La Mirage last year and loved La Mirage as you are in with the same social crowd we all like to party with.

If you are going with another couple even better. Like anywhere you always gamble on who is there when you go.

But it is true you don't have 5 star hotel treatment there.

Suggest you check out the Spain Forum. Lots and lots of info about GC to be found. And I do mean a lot.

La Mirage Is great, I will be going back one day, I would happily go there as a single. Imagine Bar is very good, the guys that run it are very friendly.
