Is the word Vanilla exclusively used by Swingers??

Try and keep this short.

On Facebook Mrs F seen a friend say 'I don't do Vanilla, its boring' This friend is the woman that made Mrs F realise she is Bi. When they worked together years ago she fancied the arse off her, as she kept eyeing Mrs F up under her fringe. So what do we read into this statement. Swinger or not a Swinger. How would she even approach the subject with her?

Yes we know it doesn't mean she's Bi. We know its widely used in the Swinging and Fet community just not heard it in main stream before, Even when newbies join this lifestyle they have never heard the term before as we often have to explain the term to new Swingers

She probably meant vanilla in the context of ‘basic’, ‘conventional’, or ‘straight forward’?

Her levels of ‘normal’ may not align with some on here though . . .

I know of people who say this word and are not on fab. So I don't think it's fab specific or swinger/kink specific. That terminology has been around for a while. I've even heard the younger generation say it

We must admit we had never heard the word vanilla used before we were swingers. As a swinger tho we use it a lot but usually only to others in the lifestyle. So if we heard it used in our everyday lives we would wonder if the person was also a swinger definitely.

I use ‘fab’ all the time, have done for years!! I would also use the word ‘vanilla’ as something basic & safe long before I got into fet or swinging, so neither is necessarily a sign.

Equally, it could be - who knows!!

It’s definitely not a secret code word only used by Swingers!!

It's a small village. We used to invite our biker mates round for parties when we first moved in and the locals made up an elaborate story. Mrs F has always dressed in little dresses and skirts so fueled the fire. When we did get into the scene Mrs F did say 'what if people find out' I reminded her they knew before us, she smiled and shrugged her shoulders. People still come and go to our house like they have for 15 years, just the locals are correct now in what we do. Always good to keep people happy

Here's an update. Mrs F sent a message back saying we don't do vanilla either. Looking back at you under my fringe. So that's her hint and intentions. This is an old friend she sees very little of. A message came back saying 'lol xxxx'
