Is it just me....

Seems to me that less and less Ladies are wearing stockings and suspenders these days (FabS aside). Hosiery Dept. of different stores seem to be dominated by tights, with only a few racks of stockings or hold ups.

Also chatting to the young Girl’s in the office, not only do they say they don’t really bother, seems their BF’s are not up in arms about the fact either!

What is the world coming too!!

2. Cost. Not a lot of manufacturers make decent belts. The ones that do charge a good bit more for bespoke or fetish items.

Perhaps its a cost thing .I can get 5 pairs of tights for £5 . if I want one decent pair of stockings you can be talking of anything from £5 to £18 plus for one pair . I'm not talking primark here . I'd still rather wear stockings bugger the cost

Can I ask do you dress full time?

I couldn't wear them everyday. To uncomfortable especially with the basque or 8 strap wide belt. Not suitable for sitting in the office most of the day.

I have to buy my stockings on line as none of our local shops either have the style or length I want.

I would say the reasons that most women don't wear them is they can't be arsed lol

yes I dress 24/7 and always stockings . there's nothing sexy about tights . being fully trussed up in nylon that way does nothing for me .I find its more of a hinderance when you go to the toilet wearing tights .never liked them

I only wear hold ups for sexy fun, stockings are impractical for day to day wear and I hate tights!

No decent shops on the high street to buy them so online is the only way these days. Gone are the days you can ‘try before you buy’ they may look perfect in the picture on the perfect model but reality hits when you find they either get stuck mid thigh or ladder at the slightest tug.

We love stockings, as our pics show, but Day to Day wear is a faff.

We find that suspended belts tend not to cater for the shorter woman and that the clips straps are often too long, even at their shortest length.

I guess they are only meant for the models in the packaging pics, the rest of us will have to struggle on

Many years ago now my first wife wore black stockings with suspenders daily for work - she was a nurse who wore an 'old-fashioned' uniform complete with apron and belt (the 'shop overall' style was only just starting to appear back then)...

...stockings and sussies weren't required, but she preferred them and they always looked great on her - she wore stockings as day-to-day wear too, but with heels instead of crepe-soled lace-up flats...

....to this day, there's nothing I love seeing a woman in more than stockings and heels - including hold-ups, though not so keen when the tops 'fold over' and reveal that shiny grey inside...

I’m a flight attendant and to burst most peoples fantasy bubble, 99% of us around the world wear tights under that uniform, many are support tights. Flying and standing up for long hours have bad effects on the legs!!

Me three. Hate all of them. There’s no way I can wear either with a dress or skirt out there as they barely go past my knees. The ones that do reach higher roll, pinch, escape and are so sodding uncomfortable. They are made to fashion industry standard size, and that size is based on androgynous slim men’s legs. It’s why we admire men’s legs in them so much as most women have thighs but the media only show men shaped legs.

I wear them to clubs, meets and for photos only and they need constant fiddling to keep them in place and comfortable.

Men have big clumsy hands and fingers! Last man that ‘helped’ me fasten my stockings to the suspenders ripped a big hole in them and was charged £15 for a replacement pair and escorted from the premises!

I have a 36 inch inside leg, i have to stretch the buggery out of stockings and then they ping off the belt at the first sign of action. It's a faff!

Primark stockings are quite good as well, and even cheaper. If I am just clubbing I wear tights as they are more practical, if I am planning to play then always stockings and suspenders.

Gosh the thought of going to a club/party/meet without my hold ups on would so not happen. When all other clothes are off the hold ups remain on.
