Couples and single ladies do you get over saturation by so many advances?

I hear that couples and single ladies get so many messages that they sometimes delete messages without even having a glance at some!

As a single guy I don't have that problem thank God (if I had that would really stress me out), I meant if I get one message every 6 month then that would be a very busy year for me

My question is do you get over saturated and does that put you off or maybe even satisfy you in some way (be content feel wanted enough that you loose interest in pursuing your desires)?

No stress in deleting messages unread if you know it's not what you are after. Easier to delete than get bogged down in nonsense.

We get a fair amount.

If someone has clearly taken time with their message we always reply, it's the least we can do, even to politely let them know they arent what we are looking for. It is a bit long winded when we come on and have 20 messages to reply to. To be honest we just copy and paste the polite refusals.

It doesnt put us off, I've had some decent chats with all sorts on here, about all manner of subjects, from sports to partical physics .

The 2 word messages, and pests just get deleted.

No stress in deleting messages unread if you know it's not what you are after. Easier to delete than get bogged down in nonsense."

Yep, totally this! And if it does get a bit much, there are filters to limit who can message you

I generally keep my message filters on and do my own searching. There's no need to be receiving hundreds of messages daily unless you want them.

I don't get that many compared to some, id say if im online I will get anything between 10-30 messages per hour. If I've recently updated my status or changed anything in my profile I will usually log back in to find at least 30+ messages. I know for profiles with really good pics and veris get on the 100s

I try and read them all... the problem is it gets boring reading the same thing or a generic copy and pasted message, or ones from those that have nothing on their profile and no pictures. It is easy to just delete them without really considering them.

I have probably deleted or missed one that would be a perfect match if the circumstances were different. That's why I'm glad that some don't give up and message again in time x

We have single men blocked from messaging, so we don't get lots of messages.

They have to make do with window shopping and photo fabbing, and hope that we might be interested. ..

We get a fair amount of winks and messages daily from couples and single ladies. We do however have single males blocked as we are not interested in them. Does it put us off? No not at All, however if we receive a one word reply or seems to be more of a talker we instantly turn them down. We find that there are so many people who talk more then take action

I have hard filters put in place, to stop anyone out of my preferred age range from messaging. I do speak to some older, but that's based on me reaching out to them. I have a manageable amount of messages, but still a little more than I would prefer. I don't really delete. I just leave them unread and allow them to fall to the bottom of the page.

I find messaging difficult to manage in here.

Still being relatively new, I get hundreds of messages a day. I am aware of the filters but choose not to use them, as I have several ongoing conversations that I don't want to cut dead. Also, you never know when 'that' person might pop along.

Being by nature a polite person, I endeavoured initially to respond to everyone, but quite frankly that just isn't possible given the hours in the day and where else they're committed to.

Also, what I think that people can fail to realise, is that a short message can be read without 'reading'. And, to delete a message without starting a pointless discourse just seems to me to be more kind.

My strategy has become to open everything, mark 'unread' what I want to respond to, and do a 'delete all read' for everything else and to enable me to keep up with what has dropped off the page.

Makes me feel like a bit of a cunt sometimes, but as I said, I'd need to pay a secretary otherwise. And I appreciate some of the tenacious who challenge the seemed rejection, and have since become friends.

If you put filters on you can still message people who you have been messaging.

That does not make sense. Why would them deleting the message affect your inbox or search facility? You can save messages from people you are talking to.

One word and very short messages always get deleted. Out of curiosity I might peek at their profile but I never reply.

The slightly longer messages have a bit more of a chance but if what they say makes it clear that they haven't read our profile their message gets deleted too.

However if they have taken the time to read our profile, they always get a reply, even if its just a polite thanks but no thanks.

The filters are there to help people, also they can untick looking for men etc. So there’s no need to get overwhelmed with messages.

I currently average between 400 and 500. I try to answer as many as possible but there’s no reprieve long enough to clear a chunk. You then get stuck unable to clear page 1, frustration kicks in and the delete button is then pressed. One issue is that people will send you multiple messages because you’ve not responded within their “allotted” time.

Some days it's quiet it's usually when we've put up that were looking we get loads which we don't mind we try to answer them all its when people start getting rude and abusive that puts me off some days it can be so bad that we consider leaving, tbh I wouldn't dream of letting someone call me the names the have if they were actually in front of me not gonna lie I'd of probably been done for gbh lol then we think usually think sod it block and move on ...and funnily enough it's not just single men we get grief from lol

400-500 that's just crazy! I can't cope with that, don't like too much attention.

We tend to delete messages without bothering to read them, as per our profile.

Keeps things simple.
