Profiles with nothing to go on

Why? If you are actively looking to meet someone today, would you put up a status asking for people to get in touch.. when you've got absolutely nothing on your profile to go on?

I see it ALL the time, all over the country.

"Looking for fun tonight, bearded average to athletic man between 30-40yrs old, get in touch".

I go look, absolutely no public photos.. and a profile that reads "Will fill in later".

Do men respond? If so, why? Don't you need some level of attraction? Mental or physical? A vague idea of who you're contacting?

Boggles my mind, it really does.

I understand they may be shy or concerned about their identity being revealed. All it takes is a little creativity.

If I were a woman on Fab. I'd have a blank profile for obvious reasons. I'd go hunting for the people who attract me though. If I wasn't getting anywhere that way.. I'd at least put up one photo of my body and a description of the kind of person I was after..

People.. they're such hard work.

That's why I don't write statuses... Wouldn't want confused men looking at my profile and thinking WTF?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve found the people with the less written are usually the more interesting. Nothing turns me off more than a huge profile of requirements and “jokes”

My area is swamped with males profiles just like that!

And my home page is full of the same men with constant 'meet requests' on a daily basis. Or they then turn on the charm offensive, slagging off the women for not rushing to meet then.

A few months down the line it is full of men offering BJ's

I do my best to put out a profile that says a little about me. I prefer to cast my lure and watch n wait. Not the best tactic granted. I'll have a look at what's going on close to me.. but 50% have written themselves off with what I can see. 40% have the blank profiles I described. The rest who are left don't seem to be interested in me.

I seem to attract nice women who live miles and miles away

This is the reason why I find it hard to meet people in my area, but they don't seem to get the correlation to why they have no interest.

My messages from them also seem to say, 'I love your profile and pics' yet they have sweet FA and don't understand why I never reply to them

This is the reason why I find it hard to meet people in my area, but they don't seem to get the correlation to why they have no interest.

If we put a meet status up, it’s more aimed at our friends that we have met previously, people who we know are genuine.

Maybe some others think like that too?
