"If I knew at 19 what I know at 49, then yes my life would have turned out very different. But age has a fossilising effect on the body and the transformation possible at 19 is very different from the one at 49, so I've learned just to accept and embrace what I have." You look fabulous hun x

"Question: As s tv I have noticed more and more of you are having breast implants or hormone therapy. Would you consider going all the way to becoming female and have the full op? " If I were younger, healthier, and wealthier ... hell yes, in a heartbeat. Or probably just the last two : ) But as it is, no. Really I'm content enough though. Or at least, I've finally found a place which on the whole isn't too bad at all.

That's a good point about what's possible at different ages, I'd not even considered that. You sound content though, that's lovely. I agree too, you do look gorgeous and your profile is a nice read x

"Yes definitely,I’d just have no idea how to go about starting hormones etc " Go see your GP and ask them to refer you to a Gender Clinic. Take a look at which ones you can get to (there are a few across the country) as you can specify which one. I will warn you though that the waiting times are long, but there is nothing stopping you from doing bits yourself like name changing, dressing full time, or anything you feel you can do comfortably without hormones. Ask about a bridging prescription, there are some who have managed to get hormones while they wait for their GC appointment. If your GP isn't particularly helpful don't forget that you aren't stuck with them, go and see another. They may not be very knowledgeable so you may (although it would be helpful doing the research for yourself anyway) have to direct them yourself. If you're truly serious about it, don't hold yourself back, there is help out there x

"as someone who is waiting for a first appointment at leeds gic,i know how frustrating it is at the nhs has failed to see people within 18 weeks. by the way, i got the letter from leeds saying that i was on the waiting list in march 2016, and november 2017 they say that they are hoping to see me by october this year. if you can go private, then so much better, but ask on the forum and also ask people at your local lgbt group if they know of people who can prescribe bridging hormones.(but when you get to see someone at the gic, they will probably not be as polite compared to as if you had waited to see them and then be prescribed.) hope it helps" Good luck Hun

"I hope I can ask this without someone taking offence. I mean nothing bad by it. I'm merely curious. Anyway... When a person goes from female to male, can he ever gain an erection? As such go on to have a full sex life using his own penis?" Yes. All depends on hrt amounts etc.

With surgery it depends on whether an erectile device is chosen or not. I didn't have one put in, I still have a full sex life though, but then I'm a Bottom not a Top.

"yet to meet a happy post op,having ones penis removed and getting castrated is a pure fight against nature which has its dire consequences..." Couldn’t agree more. I prefer the thinking of a 3rd sex... embrace your form and find happiness with it x

"yet to meet a happy post op,having ones penis removed and getting castrated is a pure fight against nature which has its dire consequences..." I know several, and all are, as far as I can tell, happy with their decision. As long as somebody understands the process when they start, it can be life changing in a good way. Having said that, on some forums there can be peer pressure to transition - it is certainly not for all transgendered people, and is not easy. You can argue any medical treatment is a fight against nature.
