Hi folks!

Only posting this because recently, on several threads, I’ve seen club hostesses put into the same category as Escorts and Porn Stars!

Whilst I have nothing against the latter two (never used an escort but I’ve watched lots of porn!) - I think that putting club hostesses into that category shows a clear lack of understanding as to what they do!

Of course- I can only speak for the ones in the north west (and the lovely Scarlett as I’ve met her)

- but their role is to make sure all their guests are happy, comfortable, not alone (unless they want to be of course) and generally having a great time! They do such a great job that personally I rarely go to an event/party that DOESN’T have hosts/hostesses! If they play at all it’s much later on when everyone else is totally happy!

They certainly don’t act as unofficial prostitutes - as seens to be the assumption of many on fab! I’m aware that a very small minority of private clubs in other parts of the country operate in that fashion - but certainly none in the North West do and I doubt many others do either!

So I’d like to say a big thank you to all the party/club hosts and hostesses on fab - because without you I wouldn’t have nearly as much fun!

agreed! And very eloquently put.

I think though there are hostesses and “hostesses” in inverted commas, depending on the venue and occasion.

I replied in one of the threads you mentioned and in that case the “hostesses” were at a ‘gentleman’s party’ and the implication was they were escorts.

But, of course, I agree 100% they should not be confused with the hostesses you describe, which is a very different role.

Absolutely! Perhaps it would clarify matters if they gave the ‘other type’ of hostesses a different name? But then all the events I go to are obviously mixed - not gentlemen only!

I think the confusion lies in the use of the word 'hostess'. When used in the context of 'to host' an event, they are doing just that. However some clubs like The Private club in Birmingham employ hostesses. They are upfront about it and they do play with the clients for pay. Big difference.

Precisely my lovely! I think the Private Club is in a small minority compared to the vast majority of hostesses who aren’t there to ‘service ‘ their guests! Xx
