Anyone else wonder how the hell the people with this on their profile actually meet?

Well I can accom in the uk but can travel. But I can accom at home in ireland It’s just not possible for some to accommodate. I stay in hotels week nights and by the time I get thier al I want to do is collapse and sleep. Occasionally I might meet a friend or two but I still keep my status as can’t accom while in uk

I can't accommodate and can only travel within a reasonable distance, maybe an hours drive at most.

I state this on my profile but it doesn't stop people from messaging me saying I can come round to your house or those who live 200-300 miles away.

The people who say they can't travel often mean they cannot travel far and would prefer to meet people who live locally. The site doesn't give this option so they choose what they think is most appropriate.

Yes I have often wondered the same thing I have had this in the past in the Manchester area and I was expected to pick up the person take to my house for a meet then take them back home afterwards which I no longer do I see it as a waste of my time

it's not a matter of 'not bothering' ..if someone wants to ask how far someone can travel, then they can. it's just a matter of using a bit of common sense.

My friend had this when she was meeting. She didn’t drive so basically anywhere she could get to on a bus. Believe me me, as a woman I get men from all over expecting me to travel to them, no travel to me would be anywhere you can get to within reasonable distance using public transport but you always get dicks being sarcastic thinking this means you won’t step foot outside your house! I drive, when I’m meeting I have will travel on my profile and I still get people from Warrington, Bolton, Liverpool etc expecting me to travel to them even though I specifically state my boundaries.

I don't accommode because i'd rather not entertain in my home. I don't travel because I'm only looking to meet locally and am not willing to travel a distance for a meet. It's pretty simple really

If it keeps the messaging pool down, I'm all for that to be honest. It has had no impact on my meeting potential with the ones I've been lucky to meet

So trains, buses, taxis, pushbikes aren't methods of travel then? Even walking is travelling.

Again, to say 'can't travel' when unless housebound and also can't accommodate, is a bit of a porky pie.. Lol

Walking to the neighbours house for a quick shag is travelling.

The answer lies with being definitive of the distance you are prepared to travel, which should be included in your profile.

I can travel within a 10 mile radius of X, for example.

I think as long as your profile explains in more detail, it’s not too important.

Mine is cannot accom & cannot travel as my preference is to play at the club ... so I wouldn’t be travelling to them & I wouldn’t be accommodating at home.

But like I said, if anyone reads my profile, it’s clear from there so I’d suggest take it in conjunction with their text too!

That would be great if anyone actually bothered to read or take note of what you wrote, but they do note. Mine clearly said within 20 mins drive of prestwich yet I’d get people all the time messaging from all over the country and even those that had definitely read it would still be like I’m only an hour and a half away just come to me!!

I had on can travel and my area, as previously stated, but still when I’d say, for example, Liverpool is too far then men would say why say you travel then! Can’t satisfy all of the people all of the time. If it bothers you just don’t message them or message asking if they have areas they can reach or if they literally never even leave the house. But I guess you could argue that they travel to the kitchen or toilet in their home so technically they do travel

There are lots of men that put can or can’t accommodate but when you discuss with them it’s dependant on factors, such as work, when they have their kids, only once they trust you etc. It’s annoying if I contact someone because they can accommodate but then they say not on the days you’re free or only once we’ve met X amount of time etc, but I don’t moan about it I just accept it, block and move on

My profile says can't accom or travel. I can travel locally, but rely on public transport. I can sometimes accommodate but only when the kids aren't here. I find it easier to discuss this in a message rather than on my profile

I can't accommodate, I have teenagers, plus older children who have keys & often pop in unnanounced.

I've been caught out walking naked round my house or nude sunbathing too many times, having them walk in on anything else.. No chance!

I'd take can't travel, not always as someone who can't travel but has set restrictions as how far they'd actually go.

Actually my friend asked this too but she’d say pick me up and we’ll go to a club as a couple. It’d save her £20 in a taxi and them £40 not having to pay as a single male, I’d say it benefited both parties.

"I think as long as your profile explains in more detail, it’s not too important.

Mine is cannot accom & cannot travel as my preference is to play at the club ... so I wouldn’t be travelling to them & I wouldn’t be accommodating at home.

But like I said, if anyone reads my profile, it’s clear from there so I’d suggest take it in conjunction with their text too!
