Has only happened once, a lady walked up to me at a bus stop and said I looked handsome and could she kiss me! I think she was slightly under the influence of something, it was flattering and a bit creepy at the same time!

Yeah it happens to me a fair amount and I don’t even look great.

I get it mainly off older women. Last time was just yesterday. Time before that was last Friday (though that was a weird bloke in kings cross), before that was 2 weeks ago in LA, and so on...

It makes me feel really embarrassed and awkward tbh.

I imagine it must be even worse for women

Yes I often get compliments on my looks, hair, shoes and style - from women and men.

I always smile and thank them, and it puts an extra spring in my step. I do give a lot of compliments to strangers myself, and it's nice to see the effect they have

I was out for one of my walks one day and a lady stopped me to compliment me on my hair. Then she asked to stroke it! Apparently it felt quite soft for red hair. It was nice to have a compliment but a bit weird too lol

I've told a couple of very good platonic female friends that they looked great and very sexy but it ruined our friendship. It was only meant as a compliment but they took it the wrong way. This is not quite the same but I have on 3 separate occasions been told I have a sexy voice by random females. One was definitely telesales so perhaps doesn't count as she would be trying to flog something!

The others were my credit card account when I had misplaced it and last time when negotiating a new phone contract. I can't lie and admit it gives a little ego boost even though I have always hated hearing my own voice!

When dressed as a girl I have had it quite a lot both from real women and admirers.

Also get quite a few compliments about my piercings as there aren't many people with as many as me.

Once while paying for parking, a guy behind me in the queue was besotted. He knew I wasn't a real girl but was gushing with compliments and desperate to buy me lunch or a drink or anything. I'm not into guys so declined but it was nice, he was charming and lovely, might not have been so nice otherwise.

Woman tend to say it to each other a lot I find and had it said to me numerous times from other woman. Usually I love your - hair/clothes/coat/Shoes etc and

I’ve said the same to other woman.

As for guys had the usual in pubs and clubs but in the day time less often. One that sticks to mind was in Morrisons, I clocked a guy smiling at me but smiled back and carried on shopping. We ended up on the same isle and he said to me I just want to say you look fantastic and I love seeing a woman dress the way you do (I was dressed in a 50s style full circle dress) I thanked him and carried on shopping. Then bless him he was waiting by then check outs and said can I give you my number. I thanked him and said no as wasn’t single but it did make me feel good the rest of the day

Alot of the time... usually in bars because men usually want to pick you up so but women often approach too. I'm the female of this couple but it happens to him too. When it's a really good looking guy or woman it's flattering, and when it just down the corner shop it's seems more genuine and not just a pick up

I was sitting eating my lunch in my van (yup probably thinking letchy old builder)

Well I don't do that oi oi thing or anything so crass.

Anyway I was sitting pondering the wonder's of the universe this absolutely stunning lady in her late 20's standing at the bus stop about 10 ft away.

It's not often that I am left in awe but this lady was gorgeous.

I carried on eating my cous cous when I suddenly decided out of nowhere to compliment her.

I wasn't trying to impress her or pull her or do anything other than pay a beautiful lady a compliment on a warm summers day.

Hoping that she would go ahead with her day with maybe a spring in her step and a smile on her face.

So trying my very hardest to be polite and respectful, not letchy and pervy.

I said in a raised voice,not shouting.

Hello there, can I just say that you have brightened up my day and made my lunch break a very sunny one.

You are by far one of the most beautiful women I have ever had the pleasure to lay my eyes on and I wish you a pleasant day and thank you for looking like you do.

Smiled and was just about to drive off when.

I just smiled and sighed, and said it's such a shame that your inner beauty doesn't match your outer beauty.

I think it's a shame that people feel they can't give compliments anymore. I think as long as the person doesn't hang around expectantly afterwards, it should be fine. On the rare occasions it's happened to me, it has really put a bounce in my step!

I sometimes go out dressed head to toe in black leather,one charity collector complimented me on how good I looked,perhaps he was just trying to get me to put some change in his tin. Another time a very sexy looking lady gave me a big smile as we passed in the street,I smiled back,unfortunately the man with her was a heavy built builder type so didn't try chatting to her!

I was out shopping with the boyf once. He went into a jewellery shop and asked me to wait outside. I sat on a bench and some guy came over to me and said I have the most amazing figure he's ever seen and then asked for my number.

I was both flattered and a little embarrassed as there were people staring everywhere. He was a good sport though and I explained I was here with my boyfriend, and kudos for having gigantic balls ha ha!

He did hang around to see if the boyfriend was real too, he gave him a wink and we carried on with our day. Its always nice to feel attractive so I dont mind a compliment... as long as tge person giving is respectful and doesnt push too far.
