Hi good people, there’s seems to be a few status updates about people with old or no verifications being non genuine and I get but you have to look at it from another perspective. If you aren’t prepared to meet someone that is not verified then how can you expect someone else to do it, and if everyone adopted this way of thinking then no one will get verified so said person will have maybe 1 or 2 veris that are quite old. I personally don’t care of people think I’m false, that’s their opinion but to keep going on about blocking people who trying to make contact just because they don’t have a verification is a bit extreme. What are your views on this?

Everyone will have their own view on verifications. And use them to judge others in different ways. That's just the way it is.

Our main view on verifications is they just mean you have arranged a meet and they turned up when arranged and they were who they said they were. Thus making them genuine people

We don't read too much into them but does help deciding weather to meet them if they have recent verifications

To some people swinging is a very minor part in their life . They may just log in every now and then , and a meet might be a bonus , but by and large they don’t really care too much . These people will have been on here for ages with no veris , and many will see them as potential timewasters , so block them .

Others may have standards so high that in all the time they’ve been on here they haven’t found anyone good enough for them . So many will ask themselves whether they would be good enough , and decide not so block them too .

There are all manner of other reasons for members not to have veris after being on here for some time , but overall we all have our own reasons to block or not have contact with long standing unverified members . Usually previous experiences , and gut instinct . Plus the two examples I’ve mentioned .

We get a few messages every week offering to verify us in return for some pics or videos, we just ignore and block as they would be fake verifications. On the flip side we have politely rejected single guys only for them to reply with "But I'm verified!" as if that will change our minds.

Agree - we like amusing veris with an in-joke there too. It’s like a little story for us and we try to avoid cliches. Tricky sometimes though.

I'm an adult and make my own decisions. I don't use the word of a stranger to decide on who I will and won't meet. Although I do use the number of displayed verifications as a filter. More than 4 sex veris on show puts me off.

I think verifications are very important ,there other ppls input into you Ie if your safe genuine ,clean and most importantly not a nut job ,I wouldent meet Unverified for safety reasons do appreciate that maybe hard if you have just joined but the are ppl willing to met unverified guys ,me personally I don’t

I'm willing to meet people with no verifications, after they have been on for a week or so.

People who have just joined, often go unlos quickly.

(Maybe the default setting should be new members especially women have all filters up, so they don't get swamped with emails)

People who have not been verified recently? If we don't know what is going on in their real life, we can't judge.

well said everyone, I’m glad I’m not the only one that has noticed this. Unfortunately some of us will miss what could have been a great meet or friendship but at the same time as a few have mentioned it does have its positives. Interesting reading everyone’s opinions.

I’ve been let down by a couple of guys who had no veris! So I guess I look upon veris as single guys being genuine. Also it does help to know that a couple is actually a couple an not a single guy pretending to be one!!

you're judged .....long and short of it .......the people who insist on veris have probably been here a while been there done that types .......so maybe not worth worrying about them because your success here will be with the people who haven't been doing this so long .

The other important factor is peoples view of another person can vary so much from one person to another so what do they mean ,the people pro veris will tell you they mean you're a safe meet which in terms of a woman is a good thing but for anyone else they mean very Little.

My philosophy is just enjoy it if people don't reply just message someone else ,you can't get bogged down on the what ifs

We are still relatively new and inexperienced on here but we have learned fast and find verifications very important. Not the content, more the person/couple who left them. And yes, we admit that it would have an influence on whether we met.

There are alot of cliques on Fab and they can generally be identified through verifications (around these parts anyway

)

So we are not ashamed to say we like to stick to what we know. Our time to play is very limited so we need to be confident we are not wasting "babysitter tokens" and the verifications help us decide.

We prefer seeing veris on their profile and then we check out those people to see if they've had legit veris as well.

People with no veris can't message us.

No or poor veris, we pass them by.

Speaking as a single guy, that's nonsense. Verification is absolutely critical for a single male here; if you're not verified (in person), you're automatically fake. Just like you're automatically cheating if you can't (or won't) accomodate. It's a cheap, lazy shorthand.

We tend to only make detailed plans with fairly well verified people. If they had no veri or an old one, we might arrange to see them at a club if we were already going.

We will miss out on the odd great person who just happens to be not verified so well. But on the whole we think it is a more reliable way.

We do have a bias towards clubs, so are less swayed by the argument that getting verified is hard / catch 22 etc.

I think that like attracts like. Someone with 4+ sex veri's displayed means they have lots of sex experience with different people and they want everyone to know it. I think they will be disappointed meeting me so that's why it puts me off.

If someone had only social veris on show it would put you off- you've made no secret of this. It's just the same thing really.

I think most people with 4+ veris aren't wanting everyone to know about their experience, just that they are definately genuine.

I think most people who had several meets would welcome meeting people who are new to the scene.

I'm not sayng that everyone is like this, I'm just saying that's my perception of it that's all. It's my issue, not theirs. I'm certainly not slagging off people with more than 4 on show. x

Some good points made about the pros & cons of verifications.

My view as someone who is a crossdresser and is willing to accommodate, is verifications are very important, for me to see and for others to see mine, I believe it gives everyone a better idea of wether the person your interested in meeting is genuine, plus being a crossdresser that accomdates wants to know the person they’re meeting isn’t some sort of axe wielding crack pot lol.

We do look at verifications and it does help us decide who we meet, along with a whole load of other factors too.

We don't like explicit verifications, and we do follow verifications through to see who has met who.

However , what’s strange is this . Yes we have met 1,000 people since we started swinging off here . And they were all sexual . Some may think that’s cool , and at times so did we .

But now we prefer to meet non swingers in a pub or vanilla club environment . These meets don’t always end up in full sex , and often no more than an evening of flirtatious fun and kissing . This is way more horny than a meet from here , although I have changed our profile completely to try and get this across . Ironically I changed the profile yesterday , and we needed up meeting 2 guys from fab . Both ended up in us leaving the pub and having sex . So we aren’t really sure what to do now ..... sure it was fun , but the expectation thing when meeting people from here inevitably ends up with less flirting and more fucking .

So we do get what you’re saying , and strangely lean more towards not using fab as much now . Certainly well verified users are getting a wide berth from us now .....

The problem with veris is that our last one was 5 months, on this site. We are on two other sites and when we meet people, they obviously can't veri us here.

There's so many permutations to veris, if you just hold onto, say two beliefs about veris, you might be passing an awful lot of people by.

Pick a pub, a cafe in the middle of a town and have a social. It's safe and beats what's written on a profile. Only do that if overall, their profile scores enough points for you.

To me verifications say more about someone than their own profile.

After all,anyone can bang their own drum and big themselves up(apart from those 'will fill in later'or the many'hows my profile look' types)

But what other people think and say about you is more of an insight of the person your thinking of meeting up with than their own words.

We check out Fabber's 'histories' through their veris. We aren't particularly interested in what they actully say (veris are glowing by default, so are pointless in that respect), it more about who they've been with.

Verifications mean nothing to me met guys in the past who had verifications. Some turned out to be big jerks in the end.

Some on here seem to look down on veris. I see them as a vital part of a profile.

I want to rule out the dreamers and timewasters. I want to rule out the nut jobs. I also want to rule out the boring crap shag, and the guys with so little experience they get stage fright and can't get a hard on.

My 8 yrs of experience of swinging has taught me, that the more verified a guy is the better a meet he will make!

And I also want to read detailed veris as this usually gives me a feel for how he will be on the the meet!

I take verifications with a huge pinch of salt. In a previous couple we put great stock in veris, only to be disappointed. I now will only meet people after chatting for a while, and after speaking on phone and seeing a recent picture or brief cam view.

But it's not difficult. If you meet people, after, you just ask for a veri, not a 'rating'. There are plenty of organised socials and clubs for people to get verified too.

I think people who come up with loads of reasons why they can't get verified are also the ones 'generally' who'll also come up with reasons why they can't get to an actual meet.
