We've noticed a few profiles that rant on stating, "If you've read our profile, put xxxxxx as the message heading or we will block you". Then the last part of their profile lists the Sydney Uni disclaimer.

If they practice what they preached and read the FAQ, then they would know the Sydney part is a waste of time and filling the server up.

We find those ranty profiles very off-putting.

One thing I like about this place is you're allowed to do as you please with your profile, it's good as you can at times see people for exactly what they are.

To be honest, I block profiles with the "Sydney University boilerplate". I think it shows a lack of imagination or ability to think independently which I believe are two things you would need to be an effective swinger.

Some will send face pics though. I never get why people get so hung up about sparse profiles demanding a face pic, upon first message. You can either choose to aquiese or move on

Our profile says we dont play with single straight guys but everyday we get lots of messages from single straight guys. When we explain this we get real bad attitude from them. Sometimes its just easier to block and delete

Quite the opposite, we like to make sure that they need to accommodate, to clamp down on the married guys. Even then, they chance it and still ask if they can book a hotel !!

We assume those who can't accommodate means their partner doesn't know, unless their profile states otherwise.

Those who state they can accommodate but would like to meet at a hotel means their partner doesn't know, they can't accommodate but said they can in order to increase their chance of a message.

We've noticed a legal disclaimer paragraph that some people have on their profiles. Should we have one too? What are they about? Do they do any good?

The "legal disclaimer" is pointless nonsense and all does is take up extra space on our servers. Please remove it if you have it on your profile. If you're worried about privacy please set your account to be hidden from non-registered users on your privacy page (this also hides it from search engines but may take a week or two to drop out of search) and remove the notice (and encourage others to do likewise).

Common sense advice would be NOT to put any information on your profile (here, or on any such site) that could identify you or that you don't want to become public! So for your own benefit, don't post phone numbers, real names or email / instant message addresses on your profile that people might see or "Google".

Some people may put non-identifying pics on their public profile but keep face pics private or for friends, for example.

My single profile is ranty and offputting and it works great at keeping messages to a minimum

But back to the opening post, I will put whatever I like in the in subject box of a message and am more than happy to be blocked if they don't like it.
