Use the Advanced Search only and tick the box marked “I’m the age they’re looking for.”

The site is frustrating enough as a “single male” - why add to your woes?

If you really must, you could wink at them. But why not focus your efforts on someone you'd be more compatible with? I find it slightly creepy when guys use their status updates to beg for messages from people who have filtered then out. Accept it graciously and move on

I know your pain, there's a girl local to me who in my eyes is the hottest girl on this site but I am two years over her limit so no way of contacting her at all, she's on my news feed daily..

Always found age limits weird.

Some people look younger or older than their age for starters.

Also I doubt for example, that a 38 year old is any different, physically or mentally than a 40 year old, like a few years here and there makes a big difference.

Same with someone that is 5ft11 and someone who is 6ft

But you see 6ft banded about as a minimum

They are preferences

We all have them

Difference being, filters can be set on here for age

Hence the 'frustration' felt by some

I have an age range but I also set filters that allow people that are outside them to message as some of my best meets have been outside my ranges

I find I’m often well out of most people’s age ranges!

Last week it was someone who’s upper age limit was 35 - yet he messaged me! I pointed out that I was way older than his upper age limit and hey presto - minutes later his age limit had increased to 50!

When messaging people myself I respect their age ranges though! I may contact them to compliment a picture etc - but I’ll point out that I’m outside their age range and I’m just being polite!

Next year I turn 50 though - and I imagine I’ll be contacted by far fewer hot young guys! No big deal though as I’m hoping to find something more significant than an occasional fuck next year anyway!
