In the past I was always very careful of protecting my privacy. And so wouldn't show any pics that made me easily identifiable.

But lately, scrolling through the hot pics, I am in awe of the ladies who have face pics easily on show.

I'm not sure I'm ready to go that far, but perhaps be braver with my pics?

How much do you guys worry about showing anything that makes you easier to identify??

Some people have jobs where being seen to be on a swinging site could cause them to be sacked due to phrases and clauses in their contracts.

Doesn't mean they have something to hide or are ashamed at all!

We would never have ours on show because we like to keep this side of our lives private. We are certain not all our family and friends would be accepting of swinging either.

Im not ashamed of being a swinger however i am hiding something ... my identity to anyone passing by ... i would be sacked if i was recognised by a client and they told my boss, however the client would be ok.

I am an adult

I have consensual sex with other adults

I don't have kids or a family to protect or shelter

I don't have a job that requires me to be a peg above everyone else

If people want to 'out' me or have a full and frank discussion about what I do safely behind closed doors, I am all ears.

The reality is that most people are careful to not put face pics up for public viewing.

There are many reasons for this.

But it's all mainly based round the stigma that exists with swinging. Sex should be behind closed doors with one person for all eternity. Not something to be enjoyed and shared.

And there's a perception that your sex life reflects on your work life, somehow companies have been able to class a person that swings in their private life as bringing them into disrepute somehow. (I assume there's now a swinger tick box on LinkedIn, or as I like to call it, the Bellend directory).

There are so many reasons for it, too many to name. But at the root of it, if a few more people stood up and said "fuck it, we're swingers" then some of the stigma might start to disappear.

I've had a face pic public for months now, though I used to be far more cautious. I guess I decided that I didn't really have anything to lose ... first off, I usually wear glasses in public so don't immediately look like the pic I have here. Secondly, me being here doesn't affect work as I'm self employed and thirdly, I can't really think of anyone finding out whose potentially negative opinion and/or judgement of me thereafter would actually affect my life. In short, it's no one else's business .... I'm most worried about how attractive (or not) my face is rather than being recognised but by having it out there it means I don't have to go through that awkward stage of exchanging a few messages which then come to an abrupt stop once they see my face

We are open about our swinging and my kids know about it. If anyone else sees our faces they are on the same site for the same purpose, so not likely to be a problem. Secrecy tends to open a person up to potential problems in my view as there is something to be gained in revealing the secret life.

Also the lack of face pics on a profile means that 90% of the time we have to request them. It then feels insulting to send a thanks but no thanks message, as clearly it means that we find their faces unattractive, when we thought their bodies may turn us on. Difficult

Use Google site and search for your profile name.

Your profile can be seen by anyone, even people not logged in to the site, I just checked. Pics are blurred though.

A face pic is fine as long it's not in a picture of nudity as well ..because it could end up anywhere on internet land ..your boss could see it one of your grown up children could see it one of you children friends could see it and download and pass it around saying have you seen Billy's Mum she's naked ..yes it down to personally choice ..but is there really any need to show faces ..you can send a face pic privately one you get to know someone

Interesting topic. Good reading everyone's take on it.

I'm quite a quiet person anyway and prefer to keep my swinging activities behind closed doors. Plus Glasgow is a big village - someone always knows someone.

I tend to chat first and see if there is any sort of spark first before sending a face pic. Discretion is important to me.

I find the profiles demanding 'face pics first or no chat' either too aggressive or obvious fake pic collector.

I'd assume those ladies who make hot pics have their life emerged in this area of life and therefore have little or nothing to lose by being public. In fact probably the reverse because it is advertising their identity which is good for them. I know this is true for a few and assume its true for the others. Otherwise why would you want everyone to see you in compromising positions?

Most people on here have professional jobs and family that they dont need to know about this side of life.

I always send a face pic with a first message and if there’s no reply after being read I will delete the image. I also delete the image if my mail remains unread for 2 or 3 days. I never display my face publicly just in case there’s snotty nosed kid on here who recognises me and knows my kids.

That's why they ask at the interview stage. So they wouldn't give the job to someone displaying a pic of them being gangbanged and thought that more important than their professional image.

We don't have them in public or private. We don't need to as we only go to clubs and don't set up meets.

We had them for friends on precious profiles but then out friends were only people we had met anyway

People mock and joke about people who do this sort of thing

Yes we recognised a work colleague on here from her shoes on her Facebook profile!

Was fun leading her but we did tell her who we were. All very discrete.

Yes and it is promoting them to a set audience. Think about it. If everyone knows you are on here and you have nothing to lose, but everything to gain, then a pic of them chomping in a cock is promoting them. The majority of people have jobs, family and friends who would be mortified. Why not these people? Self promotion at it's best.

Valid point there! I never thought of it that way.

I'm getting the impression the best way forward is to keep any identifiable pics to friends only! And be careful who I invite as a friend.

I did have mine on show until someone saw them, recognised me and decided to send a copy of my profile and photos through the post to my mother and grandmother!

I thought naively that we were all on here for the same reason so showing my face wouldn't be a problem but....

We dont give two Hoops....about the fact we swing ,however we have 3 boys and we don show our faces to protect them....we have also been contacted by their mates and that could have been embarrassing we also photoshop our tattoos out as they are very recognisable.....we actually love the fact some people have their face pics showing .....but we have to protect our kids bottom line for us.....

We don’t have our faves showing for work purposes. We also never use our real names My ex husband & his partner are on Fab. I found out because she posted a face photo when they 1st joined - oh & again last week!!

It doesn't bother us about showing our faces in our profile photos as it shows we are not afraid of expressing our feelings of swinging.

We feel that people who don't show their face have something to hide or are ashamed of the lifestyle.

My job contract has a morality clause which allows for my employer to take disciplinary action, up to and including the termination of my employment if the clause is breached.

The clause prevents the employee from behaviour that could bring the employer into disrepute, or is contrary to the ethos of the employer, and unfortunately as much as I would love it to be different... polyamory and or swinging are frowned upon by the majority and seen as somehow moraly reprehensible...wrong yes but I can't afford to lose my job

I have in the past but I don't any more, as I have a job now and I wouldn't want fellow members of staff - or worse still, customers and guests - recognising me from here, nor would I want it to become work place gossip. I'm not ashamed to be on here but I keep my personal and professional lives separate.

Even when I did have face photos up there wasn't any nudity in them. I think it's somewhat naive to take nude photos with your face in.

My face pics are for friends only. Mainly because some of the vile things local men send me in messages and put in their status updates makes me very wary of being recognised by them in the street. Hull is not that big a place and I work right in the city centre. I’m maybe being over cautious but I’m not willing to risk it. Even though one of my tattoos is quite distinctive. I don’t usually have them all showing in the street though.

Why not? I have a job which is considered to be professional and if i'm honest and lost my job because of swinging it would not be the be all and end of my life. A job is a job. It is not your life unless you put it ahead of your life.

I’ve been ‘outed’ in the past by malicious folk - but each time it’s fallen pretty flat and been far more anticlimactic than they’d hoped!

Because it’s a big part of our world (for some of us anyway) - we forget that most of the real world know very little of swinging and certainly aren’t familiar with a swinging site known as fab!

Yep - I’ve been recognised a handful of times by fab men - but on every occasion they’ve had the decency/discretion to message me after the fact rather than approaching me in public!

We are happy to share face pics with people who we want to meet and quickly do so. As for everybody else, we prefer to be a little private. It’s not so much a matter of being ashamed or having important jobs (we aren’t and we don’t) as much as not wanting to discuss our private lives with anybody who might want to.

For some people they have to go through various checks and their job would not allow them to be on this type of site publicly.

I think anyone who does not understand this needs to think again. A job maybe just a jib but it pays bills and puts a roof over our heads and provides for our children if there is any. To dismiss that responsibility would be foolish for anyone. If you need to have your face hidden that's your choice.

Would never have face pics public and I advise nobody does.

Also when taking pics during a meet they stay strictly personal.

Any that are shared are mutually agreed and never show face or identifiable marks/features.

Some of us like our privacy...

I used to have face pics before I started teaching. Now I'm bound by the professional standards and conduct inside and outside of school. Being on here with my schlong out might contravene these standards so I'm a lot more private now.
