Have you read the article in the independent about a PhD study on Threesomes? Surely Fabs should have given him more data!

A separate 2016 survey of 274 heterosexual people aged between 18 to 25 published in the 'Archives of Sexual Behaviour' showed that almost a quarter of men and eight per cent of women have had a threesome, while 82 per cent of men and 31 per cent of women are interested in hooking up in a trio.

Of the 82% of men wanting threesomes, I wonder how many are assuming it would be MFF, rather than the statistically more likely MMF?

Well there are limitations during a PhD. He only interviewed 30 male students, and a "number of women" according to the article. There are obviously a number of limitations to this, is this sample representative of the wider UK society? Are the majority of university students of the right age to conduct these interviews on, as they will likely have only been sexually active for a relative short amount of time, compared to say someone in their 40s who will likely have been sexually active for 20+ years.

Like it says in the article, a thesis should look to produce new knowledge, and so I think its a great start. Hopefully now he will continue with further, post doctoral research and expand upon his findings.

Quarter of young men would claim to have shagged virtually every female they have ever met or they wanted to shag him! So, I'm more than a little sceptical of the statistics, as a great man once said....lies, damn lies and statistics.... Disraeli, I seem to recall.

Interviewing students.

I'm not saying intelligence and kinkiness are linked, but I think there is a general positive correlation.

Also there is the fact that they are not living at home and they will not be 'judged' by their community, unlike their contemporaries living at home, who might be known locally.

It's like the holiday effect, but for months on end.
