For me.. nope have to confess that I used a condom about 6 times before I was a swinger.. and never got checked except for the std checks when you are pregnant...

But when I started swinging I was suddenly practising safe sex.. even though I remember going to a house party and getting very upset as everyone was barebacking..and I didnt want to..

We wont say we are always safe..as we are not.. depends on our mood and what we think.. (always a mutual decision) but since swinging I mostly for full sex ( but never oral) use condoms...

I actually because we do on occassion BB get checked very regular..and so far have never so much as caught thrush..

but... I know that the good few years I was not being safe I was at stupid risks.. but never even thought about it..

So was safer sex something you did once you began swinging.. or was it something you always did...

I suppose you could say we were careful. Before swinging we only had sex with each other. In fact, Mrs R had never had sex with anyone else before me as we'd started "going out" when she was just 14. Even for me that was way to young to start that stuff with the girl I knew I would be spending the rest of my life with! It was only 7 years ago that she had full sex with another guy! But since then yes, we have practiced safe(ish) sex. (the ish is for those who will be along in a minute to ask if we use a dental dam for oral!

)

Unless of course you mean all those years ago when we were kids! lol.. Whole different ball game back then...

I never had multipal partners before doing this so condoms and sexual health checks was something i never had to worry about

Before i started 'swinging' i only had two partners and was married to both of them, not at the same time tho

I always was sexually shall we say promiscuous but never found swinging till I got dragged into it by an ex..

Before I got into swinging I was well into double figures.. but then I have always had urges that needed sorting.

To be fair I didnt really think back then as a straight female I had anything to worry about..

haha some of us are just late starters

I got to 30 with only having sex with two guys but ive shagged well over a 100 since i started doing this, i wouldnt even like to think of true figures, probably over 200, i just needed a little push to get me going

I do mine in batches of 10 give or take.. so mounting up rather quickly.. I was actually trying to count all those before I started swinging..and just thought I will go with.. " a few".. lol

Always safe sex for me unless it was with long term partners. I'm of the age where I was frightened witless about AIDS from all the media in the early 80s!! At one point I daren't kiss anyone lol. Think that paranoia has stayed with me. Mr is very similar in approach. Ms

As a huge part of my life was spent in the gay club scene in Edinburgh, it was never a consideration to not use a condom, i knew people that had HIV etc and i think they would have beaten me senseless if they had found out i wasnt using protection

How many partners have i had?? No fucking idea but in my whole life the only thing ive ever had was thrush once and that was caused by a course of antibiotics so i must be doing something right

Didn't start swinging till I was 50, and have been with Kate since I was 24, so hadn't been with anyone else for 26yrs.

A quick approx tot up and I've probably had around 50-60 sexual partners in my 54yrs. That's a true figure too, and not a fantasy 300-500 like some blokes will have us believe.

No doubt we all know someone who will claim to have had 100's and you know damn well he's at home or down the pub most of the time

yes was careful as got tested regulary anyway did have long term partners and in those monogamous relationships didnt use protection though. sometime the trust aspect comes in during those relationships as when married was the same.

now though always use protection!!

That is like me.. had thrush from antibiotics but thats it.. I think to be fair I was always into multiple partners.. had a 3sum before I knew about swinging.. Often had a few guys on the go.. ( was honest about it mostly in my younger days too as made them all try harder lol to prove that they were the only one I needed)

One partner for me childhood sweethearts and both virgins who knew sod all!!

We didnt use contraception at all which in hindsight and several easy pregnancies after marriage we must have been nuts! He used to withdraw. When I went on the pill 4 weeks before our wedding I got a lecture from the GP and he asked did my mother know I was sexually active and did I have her approval to go on the pill! Seriously.

We knew of VD as we called it in my youth but never knew anyone who ever caught one.

I knew people who slept around and never used condoms it was not emphasised then. Pregnancy was the greatest fear. You got pregnant you would be down the aisle 6 weeks later.

I noticed in a news article that STI's are rising in the older population - 50 to 70 year olds so it just shows theyre still barebacking now as they did back then.

Before swinging only had bareback with my late wife. The total that I have had BB with is still only 4 people now and that includes my better half.

The other 2 are long standing and trusted playmates. And the move from safe to BB was taken over time and with plenty of discussion.

That said we still get tested as a matter of course as you can never be 100% safe even with 100% condom use.

Any people wanting advice or info on getting tested in our area please PM me. I know it is a hard thing to get the courage to do.

Before i met my ex never used condoms - this was before aids and hiv was an issue - with the ex for over 20 years used condoms a couple of times or so - after children and before i was allowed on the pill hehe - what can i say ?

but since i split from my ex and discovered the joy of sex again (hehe) i have also had to re-think my attitude to condoms - yes i take the pill but it's not all about getting pregnant is it? i have teenage children and see how they approach condoms etc its second nature to them and to be honest made me think about my health. Nice to see these young uns can teach us a thing or two

Yes and No...

annoying answer , but i was having mmf, group sex ect and didnt consider it swinging, that was married couples throwing keys in the pot.

Once my kids were born , and we needed to be far more calculated in meeting up, my behaviour changed, i need to be their for them.
