Why do people think that its ok to treat others as if they were disposable waist or worse? In the last few weeks I have answered several meet posts asking for a local venue for fun, all the messages have been deleted with out even a thanks but no thanks. Then there are the times when out at a club as a single guy, I have been treated as a social pariah even by those who the week before were so much more than happy to chat and even play. It's no wonder that people, single or not, are tempted to waist the time of others when a large part of the swinging fraternity seems intent on treating others as if they dont matter or worse still like something you flush down the pan

Depends a lot on the crowd of people you are meeting.

Same club can even vary a lot based on the day of week you go.

On the deletion, sorry to say thats life. Spoke with a couple about this, and its random really, i.e. pick one or two and the first that meets both their requirements will get picked.

As for social pariah, sometimes the dynamic of a night can be messed up by one serial wanker, who trails people, and sprints around the place.

I try to be social and chatty, and talk to people if I see them again, even if just a short few words. Also a great way of finding out about other clubs/parties in an area.

There's no excuse for rudeness, but the fact is there are rude people about. Just keep moving on and don't stop until you find the nice ones (they outnumber the rudies). No point in letting it get to you.

I wouldn't let it faze you either...

After all, when we used to go to nightclubs, it was an all-out meatmarket.

One of the other posters was right, look at the profiles you choose to message, and get a feel for what they want, and whether you'd be right for them.

Just a varied a panoply of peeps in swinging as there is in life, and life sucks sometimes.

The good ones make up for it though, nuture them. Nothing for nothing in this life.

I'm not at all sure that you read my post properly. Talking and playing with some one one day then completely ignoring them the next simply because they are either bed post notchers or to use your example of social dynamics, is sheer ignorance. The belief that by talking to some one is an open invitation to their or your bed is short sighted. Nor do I when not in the company of a lady, follow people around like a vulture or in your words a serial wanker. In my view "that's life" 'seems' to show that you are one of those who doesn't think twice about waisting peoples time? Copy and paist takes seconds, filters potentially stop contact from whole categories such as single guys. Manners are manners and serve a purpose. Ignorance is ignorance and is potentialy destructive.

Reword, did not say you were, but said that the behaviour of one may alter the social dynamic. Or to reword - that one other single guy who is tailing, pestering may ruin it for others. Perhaps explaining an attitude change.

Some couples, ladies, may well actually use and ignore, they are not immune to doing the things that some (not neccessarily you) guys do.

yes manners are manners, and yes why I will reply with 'not for me' etc if I get an email.

Do I waste peoples time? I don't believe so, I am just me, and will accept that I don't match everyone's needs, and that a busy poster may not have the time to reply, even if no 'no'.

Ignorance imples a degree of not being aware of what they are doing, I would contend that these 'ignorers' know perfectly well what they are doing, and their view of the swinging scene may not match yours. That does not make the way they play right or wrong, and more than it does what you want.
