I used to know basic sign language, but am not hard of hearing. Learnt it as a nurse. I can only imagine the frustration of stopping mid fuck to sign "are you enjoying this" can I finger your arse" etc

I'm meant to wear a hearing aid but don't.

Does that count?

It has led to some awkward moments when guys forget and they're trying to whisper or tell me to move/do something and they're wondering why they're being ignored.

I'm hard of hearing in my left ear and supposed to have a hearing aid for it, but I just couldn't get on with the aids and as my hearing is fine in my other ear I just manage. If someone is whispering into my left ear I won't have a clue what they're saying and sometimes in clubs where music is loud I struggle a bit, but my friends now know to shout at my right ear if the want a response

"

Yes, I totally wrecked the hearing in my right ear 30 years ago. I drilled one hole into brickwork using a hammer drill, and how I wish I'd worn ear defenders.

That's 30 years of having to put up with idiots like him making crass, insensitive comments.

Once met a blind guy out dogging, wasn't as strange as it first sounds, his missus drove him to the meet, and watched us very closely as we put on a full show for them, she described every thing we did in detail, it was quite horny having another woman talking dirty all the time, describing my cock as very hard, thick and veiny, still dripping with her juices.

It was an amusing comment, same as my post above. I am sure it wasn't meant to offend.

I've been fully deaf in one ear and 50% in the other for two years now. I will go totally deaf. It's cost me my job and my whole way of life before.

However, I would rather the gentle piss taking of 'Say again' than people give up talking to me because I'm grumpy or keep asking them to repeat. Tiresome? Nah, I'll savour those voices for as long as I can.

Interestingly although I (mr) am deaf in one ear I don't find these post insensitive at all. To me it's all part of the banter.

Well fortunately stupidity isn't a disability , just remember when you lose one sense the other are greatly enhanced.

Not really answering your question OP but we are both learning BSL at the moment, our newest addition has moderate bilateral deafness. So its nice to read other peoples experiences

My BSL teacher many years ago was sexy as fuck, and we had a long flirtation that didn't come to anything (she wanted love, marriage and roses round the door) but flirting in BSL was hellish good fun
