Is there a perception, especially with some singles, that swinging is the "thing to do" if you can't get laid in the real world? Do you think that's why there's a percentage of frustrated/angry singles in the swinging community?

Meeting someone 'in real life' isn't always possible. Also some people have no idea of discretion. A woman meeting lots of men for sex is still seen as a terrible thing. Men meeting on here tend to be ashamed so keep their gobs shut and wouldn't tell their mates who they've met.

Yeah, I agree. Some people see this site as a sex hook up place, no frills, just place an ad and expect instant sex. When no sex is happening, they become impatient and poor attitudes come to light. Sounds really old fashioned but we’re looking for a rapport and a ‘mirror couple’ that are looking for a likeminded friendship that could potentially lead into erotic liaisons from time to time. Unfortunately a lot of people, mostly single (or "single") guys do see Fab as a place to come when they're not having luck in real life.

Fab is not a fuck site. It's certainly not somewhere to find guaranteed sex or to quickly find a sex partner.

But a lot of the guys don't understand this. A few post to the forums saying they were told this site would guarantee them sex. It's really not like that. And the site is all the poorer for these guys.

If people want to get laid, and have been struggling, the best chance they have is to check out swingers clubs, be respectful, obey the rules (NO MEANS NO) find a greedy girls night and be clean, turn up, be respectful, and wait for an invite. Oh and BE RESPECTFUL. I have attended several, and when one of those women have 10 men around her and are in the moment enjoying having as many cocks inside them as they can get, I have never seen a man turned down. But BE RESPECTFUL!!! They still have the right to turn you down.

This shouts out "relationship issues" to us. We are here as an extension to our already fantastic sex life, but far too many people are joining here thinking it's 'instashag'. Makes this site harder work for the genuine swingers amongst us, finding the rare diamonds in amongst the rough.

That perception probably does exist both within swinging circles and elsewhere.However,when you really think about traditional,real world ways of finding partners such as chance meetings in pubs and nightclubs,a lot is being left to pure chance and a lot of risks are taken. You have no idea if that evening you will meet prince charming or the next Yorkshire ripper,you may not meet anyone at all.It's often too loud to chat and alcohol sometimes clouds judgement.

At least online dating,of any description,gives people a chance to exercise a bit of discernment about who to meet,to tell a bit about themselves in a pressure free environment and to ask questions.

So,even for those who can and do,occasionally,get laid in the real world,the online world is definitely not a last resort option,not even necessarily a second best option.In some ways it is the best option.

Why indeed if you are lucky enough to be one of those few guys who does get sex on here for free with a reasonable frequency? I guess that’s you? But some guys will only get a successful meet once a year. And guys will never get a meet. A lot of guys seem to have to go through a lot of crap in the pursuit for sex ie timeswasters, fakes and no-shows. And sex is rarely cost free anyway - there’s the cost of travel, contributions to hotel costs, entry fees for clubs etc. For guys who simply want a shag and nothing more, an escort service seems the more drama free and guaranteed option.
