Obviously it means they both have an occupation which means they need a degree specific to it, that they have a system of post graduate exams and are self regulated within a Royal College system. Otherwise, they are lying.

Far too many use the word 'professional'on here to try and prove they are more genuine than others

No, it's just a word people use to describe themselves. Lots of people get annoyed about people using it for different reasons. I can't see a problem with it myself.

I find the term ‘professional’ used on here a bit cringy

At what point in ones life do you feel the need to describe yourself with this term and to use it on a swinging site ?

TBH it’s off putting for me , I don’t care what job anyone does, some of the nicest people I know have very normal jobs and some of the biggest w***ers are high flyers

Friendly , fun , clean , and sexy .. isn’t that what swinging is supposed to be about ? Or maybe I need to take a copy of my resume on my next meet !!??

It means nothing on here really, as that many people now use it either incorrectly or falsely, that it has lost its meaning.

Obviously your wrong, professional means that you get paid for doing something... so a professional couple are obviously getting paid to be a couple.

Some people just know nothing.

It's just an image people wish to project as they believe it attracts the kind of people they wish to meet. We all advertise here in different ways.

What is more interesting is why so may people seem willing to be judgemental on others profiles.

Nature of the game tho isn’t it ?

We put ourselves out there and happy to write on our profiles things that are different or even controversial to others then we leave ourselves open to be judged

Same as celebs that moan about press invasion ... don’t mind seeking attention but when it’s critical or not perhaps the attention they hoped for then all of a sudden they are up in arms

It’s way of describing their social status. It’s no longer acceptable to say something like ‘middle class’, so another word has been found to say the same thing. Some people find they have more in common with someone from a similar social background to themselves, others find it irrelevant, especially with regards to sex. There is no right or wrong, as long as people arent discriminated against. I don’t know why people don’t know what it means though. I remember when I left university and was looking for a shared flat, adverts frequently said ‘would suit a professional’. Yes that’s arguably snobby, but considering that was 20 years ago, it’s hardly that new a word.

You’re wrong.

We’re both what we’d call professional in our chosen fields, it’s not a class thing at all.

Happy to meet all ‘n sundry, but happier still if they happen to be on the same wave length as us.

I don't think the issue is being a professional, or saying you are in certain circumstances.

A common theme is that people assume that people who state it on their profile believe they are superior simply because of that.

I think there are better ways to get across your personality.

In some replies on these threads people have said they state it because they want to meet people who also go on nice holidays and enjoy nice meals out etc. To me that is superior, as a well off scrap man can do that stuff. Just because someone is a professionally accredited accountant doesn't mean they have any better outlook or experience than anyone else.

(none of this is aimed at you btw, just the first part followed on from your comment )

I agree. Lots of people put ex forces or uniformed services that doesn't mean anything in terms of sexual prowess either.

No, but on here I would assume that is what they are trying to portray to me. That they will behave in a professional manner.

Sex with a professional would be like a visit to the dentist I imagine. They'd say open wide.

You'd have to lie back on the couch and go ooooof and Ahhhhhhhhh and then get asked if you'd like to spit it out after.

Or it was a woman maybe they'd wear those mortar board things on their heads and a a university Don's gown which hides their stockings and suspenders. Sorry I'm off on one. Just having another fantasy about meet professional people

Don’t see what a Brad Pitt lookalike who’s a plumber has to do with what’s on our profile. We meet those we have common ground with regardless, nowhere on our profile does it say we only meet professionals, we’re giving information to those who maybe interested in meeting us. It’s attitude as well as looks to a certain extent which are the defining aspects (for us. But for the record a Brad Pitt lookalike we wouldn’t meet as he wouldn’t be what we’re looking for from fab meets.
