I've seen a few profiles like this lately.

Now everyone knows Fab is not always a swinging Utopia and people get wound up by one-liner mails, fellas who won't take no for an answer insert your pet bugbear as appropriate.

But I can't help but notice that often those flouncing out of Fab are probably over-estimating how much they'll be missed.

Everyone flouncing out of a forum is like this. It isn't exclusive to Fab. And at least 25% of the time they turn up again, if not with their old username then a new one but still easily recognisable from tone, language, etc.

Spend any number of years on any forum and you'll see the same behaviours and topics recurring.

Another favourite is the 'I remember when it was all fields and things were better round here' thread. I'm on one forum where this thread has been necroposted to annually for about ten years now, without any sense of irony from those who add to it.

It's the classic strop-for-attention.

If you really are 'going to leave' don't announce it, just go.

You can be sure they post and then sit watching and waiting for all the 'please don't go' and 'U OK HUN?' posts. They probably do it periodically on Facebook as well.

Or the whingy ones complaining that no one meets or site supporter coming to an end shall they stay or go ?

I guess they hope it will spark some interest and get messages

The "I'm leaving!!" circle of status updates makes me laugh.
