Photo background

We aren't saying our photos are by any means perfect, but when people take photos, do they not check what is in the background?

We see a sexy looking person in a photo then in the background there may be a toilet with its lid up, a pile of dirty pots, piles of dirty clothes, even kids toys. We know we are being judgemental but it just puts us off.

Come on folks, it only takes a moment to check before posting your photos on here.

I have somewhat of an OCD with regards to that exact point.... I do try to be conscious of what can be seen in my pics.... and yes I have noticed, like you, the vast difference in some people's pics ....

We sometimes use a backdrop as our background when we take photos for our profile.

With the exception of the odd one taken when not at home, outdoor etc, hopefully our house is always tidy when we snap pics for the profile.

We always shoot in our bedroom set in our studio these days, or seamless papers.

Its generally best for ppl to shoot against a curtain or doorway to ensure something clean and uncluttered

Nothing worse than seeing a great photo ruined by the background cluttered with rubbish and dirty laundry

Yep amazing how many people blur their own face but forget about the photos in the background

I find it hard to see any photo as being either attractive or erotic if it isn't taken with some thought or care. That's just our taste though - we simply skip over profiles with pics we don't like. There are plenty of great ones on Fab that we do like

The toilet thing, is I agree 99.99999% wrong, but it CAN be a great prop too

It's about context though, imagine a picture of a person that is say handcuffed to one, maybe in biker leathers around their ankles, showing just their arse, waiting to be, or having just been fucked. If done well, this could be a very sexy image.

But in the spirit of this thread, I do agree with pretty much all of the posts above.

Exactly some you see with family photos or kids toys both I don't think appropriate and should be blurred or cropped

Agree - we always make sure background is tidy with no identifying features.

Changing topic slightly but recently saw a face pic on someones photo and she is smiling with a lump of chewing gum clearly visible in her mouth - yuk!

I have a face pic I took in the gents one day, it was totally a spur of the moment thing because there was a huge mirror, and I love the image of myself in it (I usually struggle with selfies lol). The trouble is, I framed perfectly a urinal behind myself! But I still love the pic

Not much effort with pictures = not much effort to swing

So easy to tidy up, snap away with a phone camera and upload

The greatest opening line to a profile I've ever read!

Stunning pics too!

Shame I'm out of your age range x

Dunno, doesn't bother me the only exception being visible shite in a toilet. NO I did not need to see that!!

Otherwise, I like to focus on the fact that someone took a picture that's real and honest (and yes, we all have messy part of our homes or rooms, that's just life).

A lot of people don't see the distractions in the images though and it takes someone with more of a creative eye to point-out what is reducing the impact of the photo.

A lot of people on here also post images that really should be in private galleries as they don't understand the concept of less usually is more
