Time wasters

Sure this topic has been posted before. But soooooooo sick and tired of of time wasters now.

Had a couple say they were going to turn up on friday at ours, then an hour before said there still coming. Then nothing. Got a message off them on the sunday saying couldn't make friday can we come now, cheeky t**ts

Why can't people be honest or at least let you know

lol after they have wasted an evening you wanted to have fun...

lol but I like it when ppl see the positive sides

We have recently been let down, too.

The guy lives 30 mins away. After we arrived on time at the pub we texted him, he replied: tied up at the moment but will be with you as soon as I can ...

I wonder how long he expected us to wait ....

well i have so far only reason i wouldnt is if the car broke down and then i would phone them straight away...

I was chatting to some friends last night, they were saying they were due to meet a couple last Friday. They got a message four hours before they were due to meet up to say the other couple were stuck at work, and would not be able to make it. Fair enough you think. Later that evening they were chatting to another couple, and guess what? They were also due to meet the same couple,at the same time, and had been stood up. It gets better! Two days later, chatting to yet another couple (yes they do get around my friends ) you guessed it, they were also due to meet the elusive couple on that fateful Friday, but never did.

The good news is, they are not on Fabs.....yet

I have been accused of it lately to be fair.. as I have suddenly had to pull all my meets as I simply cant play for a bit..

Its a genuine reason and I have let people know in advance and apologised.. but still had some make me feel I am time wasting..

I would love to have still played but wont be able to for a while as yet.. Frustrating but fact of life.

I do think that if you cant that its just good manners to give as much notice as possible.

Had this too...

As we both have kids and work we have to plan meets ... If we say we are going to meet someone and arranged a time and place then we will be there...

Nothing is more frustrating than sitting there for an hour... Evening wasted then - could have gone to the cinema... Or just played with each other!!!

We have had some people message before - not so bad but depend how long before!!

On a couple of occasions something has genuinely come up and that's fine - I can give people the benefit of the doubt... But the ones that don't turn up and you never hear from them again?!

Grrrrrr!!

Thanks for all the replies. I think fab should have a name and shame page if it's found out that couples are timewasters or males pretending to be couples or females or vice versa.

Just my view

it wont work for obvious reasons

- really you best read the rules as you cant name and shame
