Well ok my beard is not a hispter beard and a lot longer than most peoples. Its well conditioned and soft however it does seem a major stumbling block.

I know beards are hit and miss with women esp if not these well groomed ones. Anyone else with a beard have similar experiences?

I went to a big event where i heard comments by people towards me which wasnt nice and ive had some reply from beard lovers which also werent very nice with 1 even going as far as saying "i like beards but not ones that looks like something is living in it haha"

People say well their loss if you like your beard etc then that what matters but still doesnt make me feel any better about myself not very encouraging to go to another event due to getting these comments from people either overheard or via post on here.

Has any else had similar issues with not so nice comments made at them at events or on here. Yeah i can block them and delete but still im a friendly person and like to socialise im not looking to fuck everyone. You can still talk to me like a human being if not interested in me physically.

You’re certainly not alone mate, I get it regularly. Usually it’s a simple ‘Not into beards’ never had anyone be rude about my beard. It is shame, however, I like my beard and I’m a great believer in each to their own preference.

yep my lost my long hair through stress and depression so decide sod it shaved the head left the face idea was bnot cut my hair again(about just past the chest) but it's now with the beard but not to long yet

Yeah thanks. Its difficult when im new to the swinging scene and it was my 3rd time at the club and then my first big event. Sort of gets me thinking should i go back

I keep my beard a bit shorter and tidy due to work but it's well looked after washed and oiled regularly. If people don't like then fair enough, but I like it and at the end of the day that's what matters.

PS there is nothing wrong with your beard op

I used to hate facial hair until I got to know a guy with a beard. He really engaged my mind and I was so attracted to that, that I forgot about the beard and totally enjoyed our meets, I'm now happy to consider meets with bearded guys.

Some people will like beards and some will not, but those people sitting on the fence are probably being encouraged to be negative and to see the hipster look as past its sell-by date.

Unfortunately they probably lump all beards in with the hipster look.

What are trends...

I had a goatee at 17 and have only once shaved it off once when i was 20 and i looked about 12. Since then always had long hair and a goatee however over the last 3 or 4 years ive shaved my head so bit of hair and grew a longer beard which is washed daily and brushed and oiled etc so soft and clean..

Look man, women are all seduceable. Just consider this, almost all of them hate cock pics but love cock. They hate big beards until they are horny and on their back getting passionately filled by a bearded masculine beast. Beards are intimidating as they (can) appear aggressively masculine. Beards are not so popular. I get quite a few who dont like the beard/moustache. Some who have found it a complete block to any contact.

The moustache prickling the clit is the main complaint.

I can still remember how, as a child, I hated to get a kiss from Grampy. He had a big moustache that felt very much like a brush. So I can sympathise with those who hate them.

Tough for me, but I like my facial hair.

I know a woman who prefers shorter beards but because im so easy to get on with, polite and everything she gave it a go. I also said because she was a gusher its great at soaking it up so the bed doesnt get as wet.

There seems to be a common-courtesy disparity with beards. Likes and dislikes are one thing, but most right thinking people wouldn't dream of, for example, writing nasty personal attacks against overweight people on their profile if they didn't fit their preference, people seem perfectly happy to put stuff like "No beards yuk disgusting smelly things make you look like a tramp" and such.

Although I admit I've never had people make unpleasant comments like that to my face or in earshot. That's a pretty shitty thing to do.

I've never seen any vitriol directed at bigger folks on a profile, as you say. Trolling in the forums, certainly, but not in their profile text. That just saddens me even more. People are cunts.

I think sometines i go through staes of should i shouldnt i whwn it comes to looks. Always had self inage issues and when had really long hair i got a lot of comments walking about but it could have been when it was purple or blue or pink etc. I shaved that off because of thinning and ler my beard grew.

Walking round town i get a lot of ppl wabting to touch it or say great beard so kept it but then when in a event or swinging situation when im in a social opportunity and may play i think yeah beard has to go because of x or y

I know i need to lose the belly bump but i felt ok walking round in just a towel which i havent done in yrs.

I have not met hostile comments and usually my partners have all enjoyed the tactile side of my bristles.

I must say I am a little puzzled by the affirmation of beard hate some feel the need to express.

I find those exclusions harsh (No beards, not under 6ft, only fit guys, not over 45...etc).

As much as I understand that we all have preferences, it doesn't have to be expressed by mean of exclusion and by pointing the finger at certain attributes.

Great beard by the way, be yourself and find people who appreciate you for who you are!
