There are a number of corraborating sources showing that 3-4 inches is the average depth of a vagina. It can expand to 200% during arousal. Thus 6-8 inches. In line with what is inside her. Same principal applies in child birth. Same goes for girth.

I think it matters, not that my opinion does. I've never had any complaints at 7-7.5" and pretty girthy.
