It IS true. And you know it. Hence why this thread exists. I do find it comical when women create threads on here asking the forum about the patriarchal expectations of our society...its like they both want the inaccurate reassurance which comes from the replies from a group whose sexual activities differ greatly from the rest of the population and yet will still only focus on the answers which differ from these and confirm the very standards they dont want to accept.

Most men in this world are not swingers. They dont approach women or sexuality the way swingers do...even then, the vast majority of people on this site are men, not couples. These same men will be on here searching for an easy lay, not a partner. Even they will hold the same "madonna-whore" complex that you speak of. Even those who do have wives/partners/girlfriends who play with others...one must ask themselves. Are they doing it because they merely enjoy the mutual benefit of polyamory or do they simply get a sexual kick off having power over their partners sexuality? So much so that they can even dictate the nature of their "inevitable" infidelity?? Most of the experiences I have had on here involved couples where the man was very much in charge of proceedings.

Of course, I can continue telling you fluffy rationalizations that men who think like the one mentioned in the OP are just big bad backwards misogynists...but then, I must say that if you genuinely think like that then you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of masculinity, something which will only hurt you going forward.

Back in the days of bumper stickers I had a girlfriend whose car had a bumper sticker that read "So many males. So few men". It was great until my car went in for repairs and I was driving her car on my own for a week
