A social is just that!

Coffee, chat and leave.. if there is a connection then arrange a play meet.

Don't assume just because someone invites you for a drink it's gonna lead to sex!

I always have a social meet first - just a coffee to see if we get on. No chance of sex and they know that.

If they want to meet and fuck without a social that's fine but we're not compatible so we don't meet.

I take socials as they are - ia no-pressure time to meet and see whether there is a spark in person. On the odd occasion, the spark has been good enough (and circumstances have allowed for us) to go back and sleep together straight away but usually it’s just a social. I swear by them. Only met once for just sex and I didn’t enjoy it that much.

We love socials but can’t get folks to commit, if you want a social & the other party don’t then it’s quite simple don’t meet it might be different for couples but if you’re meeting single males it’s either a joint decision or your decision.

Yes a social is always first. The amount of guys that decline a social is amazing it’s like they haven’t got an hour to spare.

Yes it is a sex site but I cannot think of anything worse than arranging to meet someone for sex and then not finding them attractive. Just because you have seen pics on here that doesn’t mean that they’re like that in the flesh. Some look better some look worse. At least with a social there is no expectation of play and if there’s no mutual attraction then you can just walk away. If there’s an attraction and a second meet planned then there’s the anticipation of that to look forward to

A few of our social have ended up as play meets, we are not always fully prepared but do make sure we’ve shaved in the appropriate places & remembered to put clean underwear on just in case LOL!!

We prefer to have a social first to see if we all like each other. The only time we don't have a social first is if we meet someone while at a club and we all like each other.

We only play with bi guys though and most guys don't want a social first .... so we clearly arent compatable then.

A social is a meeting up to have a chat and most likely a beverage of some kind.

This is to establish if there is any real attraction there, And also to make sure the one you're meeting doesn't stink, not look like their pics, got their height right etc.

There is no play involved, other than perhaps a bit of kiss

I would put money on that is exactly how most go about their business. Nothing has changed most likely. If the forum is to be believed the majority of men struggle to get even a response let alone any kind of meet. Can understand why they would be less keen on a social if that's true. Same answer as most things on here. Some like em some don't.

To me a social is just a meeting to see they get on, see if theres an atraction and to see if both parties wish to take it further.

There should be no obligation for anything further, as long as everyone meeting knows what the Score is before the meet it should be all good

I’ve not had a meet with anyone who thought like that. I meet somewhere neutral for the first time in case we don’t want to take it further. More often than not, by that point I usually do because we have got to know each other by texts by then but I like to give them the opportunity to back out if they don’t want to. I never assume a man is going to like me in person. I did think that was the point of a social though and don’t really see the point of going on more than one with someone when it’s not going to go further. Like everything else to do with fab it’s all subjective to the individuals involved though and people do whatever suits them.

On nearly all of my meets we have fucked, they all start with a social element to make sure we are both happy and the necessary attraction is there but then move to to playing. Only a couple of times have I had socials that have been purely socials, I'm open to them but don't find them really necessary.

I think from an older male perspective that socials are great. It is very difficult for single older males to meet up with couples or women for that matter. However all groups go to socials and I have found that people who would normally not respond to messages will sit there and talk to me. I have met and now commmunicated on fab with couples and single women who would normally not have given me the time of day. In fact off to Fareham Social later this month.

Socials are a good way of meeting 'likeminded' couples/singles and having fun without getting your clothes off! What individuals do at the end of the event is up to them.weve been to a few and found them very enjoyable and a good way of 'breaking the ice' when it comes to the possibility of future private meets with others.

I've done all three!! I like socials. I enjoy the flirting, chat and banter.

I've done purely social and walked away. I've done social then play and I've done meet and fuck.

All have their place depending on how I feel.
