Has anyone else noticed this.

You get talking to another Fabber and they want to know lots about you. Hint at meeting, but never do. But still want to know lots about you.

A lady on here told me she'd had a message with her own name on, so she'd hidden her profile. Does anyone else just feel like someone's trying to work out who they are rather than actually meet?

yes there are lots I been asked lots of detail but never told anyone no one knows my real name if someone asked me where I work what I do or any personal questions I say fuck off i am not here to find a long lost family i am here for sex that's all

Yes and I feel like that in the fora too.

I'm wary about how much information I give out. Our location isn't exact, our dates of birth aren't accurate, we don't give our real name unless we're meeting, we don't give our professions etc. Even so it's very easy to give away personal details.

As with fears about picture collectors people can ask for information but you don't have to give it.

i don't mind people asking but if they don't accept that there is some info I don't give out its the end of our chat.

mind you most people I meet on a regular basis don't even know my name...

I'm like this too. I don't need to know exact addresses or surnames or their place of work but I like knowing what they do for a living and, if they're quite local, what general area (don't want to play TOO close to home).

Their job doesn't have any bearing on whether we decide to play or not (we're not snobby like that) but it just gives an added element and helps to see the person as a 'whole' and not just genitals on legs.

I once asked a meet what he did for a living just to try and make sure I didn't know him.

Thought it was safe but it turned out he worked for my main client at work and I knew as much about his work as he did.

Could have been embarassing. That's why I ask questions first.

That's right. It's like building a picture of what makes them tick. What they like or might not like. We don't need specifics, just a hint of their personality.

This is me too. I love to ask questions not out of nosiness or to be a stalker but to get a feel for someone. I hold myself back a lot though compared to how I could be as it's not necessarily what people are here for or comfortable with. I just like talking

Isnt talking to.peolle how we build connections and understanding of their personality likes dislikes and even the connection that leads to great sex with someone.

If I can't communicate with another person just how poor is the sex going to be...isnt it all about knowing what each other want desire enjoy or don't want.

And if it's going to ever be more than just one meet isn't it better if the physical connection is matched by knowing enough about someone that allows us to explore more of each other as we discover new things...

I'm with you on this. If I'm asking questions this is why. I never expect specific answers if we chat about stuff like work or hobbies, just enough to get a feel for a person and find common ground that would give us something to talk about in between rounds.

I find guys do ask lots of questions about me/us. Curiosity, interest, being nosey etc. I tend to just lie to them rather than refuse to give info. The problem is remembering exactly what I've said !! The only things i don't lie about is that i'm a straight fem, g is a bi male and our fav football team

Unfortunately I recently found this does happen. A guy came back to me with my full name which I never told him. When I told him I didn't want to meet him he threatened to out me and share my pictures around. I ended up reporting him to the police. His profile went for about a week. Then he just set up another with exactly the same username.
