Disabilities vary massively....

Impaired vision... arthritis.... wheelchair bound... mental illness

Peoples opinions would reflect this...

Can u give us an example.

Do either of you have a disability or are you just seeing if it’s acceptable on here to meet someone with some form of disability?

Well I am visually impaired and don't have much sight. Plus I have a little bit of a mobility issue. I'm only asking to see what other people's views are. There is no malice intended

shits creek

I've met a guy who was visually impaired (we met lots of times and became good mates) I've also met a fella who had a prosthetic leg.

I think it depends on what you want from the meet. If the disability prevents the desire of the meet being met, then no, I wouldn't meet the person.

It is such a minefield to navigate, you won't believe it!

Historically, disabled persons have be excluded from so much. Mental disabilities have had to even fight to come under the definition.

Now let's bring the discussion home. The swinging world is phisically oriented : no other way of putting it. This makes it difficult for a lot of physically disabled people who otherwise may have some very filthy and imaginative minds. The more severe the disability, the more difficult it is to swing.

It is not easy to allow a total stranger to see you completely naked! It is even harder when you have some body parts completely missing or much much smaller than the norm. It is not an easy topic. I wish I knew the way forward.

I used to chat with a disabled lady friend in Oxford ( not from fab) and we could talk about anything under the sun. She would cook and do everything like any other person but she would not take the next step with me nor any other guy. She would invite me over and all but would never get physical. I couldn't figure it out.

I wish I knew the way forward but this is what I think: it is much much easier if you knew the person or were very close and "fresh" before onset of disability. I could be wrong.

My disabilities don't restrict me and the wife in anyway from having sex. I guess it's just more that I'm slower changing position.

Some I would meet and some I definitely wouldn't.

I'd prefer to know details early on. I would be unhappy if they'd said nothing and I found out when we met in person.

Even though I do have slight mobility problems it's not really visible and my sight impairment is probably the bigger issue tbh but thanks for your answer. It was very informative

"I just wanted to see what other people's views on meeting people with disabilities is??

Disabilities are so individual in how they manifest, from physical to mental to hidden impairments and learning difficulties. They also have such vast ranges of impact and severity on the functioning of an individual's life that you can't make a generalisation of "how it is". It's also very individual how the person themselves perceives their difference as to whether they'd even consider it being termed a disability or not, or view it positively or negatively or even rather neutrally just as another aspect of themselves and not the single most defining one.

I would never be able to say if I would or wouldn't meet someone due to them having a disability. I would have to be attracted to the person and want to spend time with them, so if I were to make a blanket statement about anything it would be that they were not continuously bitter or negative or angry about the impact of their disability -- not always, everyone is entitled to feeling negative at times, but it would be someone's main presiding attitude that was most important to me.

No probs. It is what it is. Just got to get on with things really. Like I said, thankfully it isnt too much of an issue at the moment. Sadly, there is no cure and there is every possibility it will get worse. Guess I'll just have to deal with it if it does. Tripped over in town yesterday. I had to reassure people I wasnt d*unk lol. Bit embarrasing.

I the male of the couple have mobility problems and have to use a walking stick most of the time but it has not bothered most people we have met up with and is on the profile so the ones who read profiles will see it and know it in the first place.

I can only reiterate what others have said. Knowibg the disability and how it might affect a meet is very important. Much more likely to not care one jot if I know what's what.

I meet people.

It is the personality I connect with, not the outward characteristics of a person.

If anyone is differently abled, I would like to think that we can work to have a mutually enjoyable time.

I love nothing more than prancing about like a right ol' cock-craving dancing queen for my paramour, so some fella in a wheelchair for example, would suit me fine. If he were blind however he wouldn't be able to witness the spectacle of me making such a massive tit of myself which would totally take the wind out of my sails.

Well guys thank you all for answering my question. It seems to me that people are not bothered about disabilities as long as you are upfront about them. I would always be upfront about my eyesight and mobility as it's unfair to keep it silent and for it to impact on a meet.

I have a warning on my profile, so people don't expect too much from me. On a good day you wouldn't notice anything. On a bad day you'll hear me creak as I walk.

As long as someone can give me the sex I'm here for I'm happy.
