Anyone starting a thread stating they were attached, their partner not talking to them and hating their mates etc would illicit the same response from me.

You hardly need to be a Rhodes scholar to read the OP and not guess his age.

It's a saying that shows your _iew of a relationship isnt mature ,the word partner is used for a reason.If you think its an either or situation then i wud take a step back .

Do you know what I'd say to you - get off the site - and I mean it in the nicest possible way.

You're a young lad, you have mates, you should be allowed to go out with them, living the high life, doing daft stuff together, getting naked in fountains on a saturday night, laughing at stupid things one of you has said. But your girlfrined doesn't like you doing this.

Instead she allows you to sit at home in front of a pc, ogling naked pics of faceless women, knowing as a single guy and a young one, that the chances of you having a meet with a woman off this site are slimmer than finding someone else whilst out with your mates.

Its about jealousy and control and, if I'm making the assumption that she is a similar age to you, its not healthy for either of you.

Now of course I'm not really telling you to leave the site but I am suggesting that you don't throw away fun and experiences whilst you're young, you will have enough years of maturity to live through. A compromise would be ideal and I hope that will work for you

It is possible to swing/explore as a young couple,and not feel you are missing out on the mates stuff too. But it needs you to be equals in the journey and enjoy the fact you are both having fun.

OP, even at 23 you must be able to see for yourself that your relationship is not well-founded if your GF feels the need to be that controlling! What about her? Does she have her own mates and do you mind her seeing them?

By asking for advice (ignoring the Bro/Ho comment which is probably down to immaturity - I hope,) especially in a place like this (Fab,) then things don't sound like they are going too well for you in the romance deptartment. Possibly the thing to do is to find a gf a bit more like yourself who can appreciate you for who you really are.

I believe some men could be very mature and want to settle down at an early age, while some still bounce about and behave like a puppy on heat in their 40s/50s or even older.

It sounds to me the OP is not ready to be tied down in a relationship.

Therefore, I would advise doing the honourable thing to break off with the girlfriend, to allow you both to go your separate ways.

If you still feel strongly about each other after the break, then perhaps you are destined for each other, and should then work on the relationship.

Hope it works out, whatever you decide.

Get out of the relationship as quickly as you can. Went through the same thing with my ex of 10 years and I regret not leaving her sooner. The longer you stay and allow her to control the relationship, the hard it will be for you to leave.

Left mine about 4 months ago and haven't looked back.

I sense a relationship designed around two peoples convenience.

He has a 'chick' so he cahn say he's attached, but really he doesn't love her cause no person would be seeking nights out with their mates and looking for other bonks over choosing their partner.

Even though all through my marriage I had the option to date out ... if my partner was not actually doing something constructive (work wise) I'd stay home ... with her ... intimacy with my partner comes first.

Now it sounds like the girl isn't that much different. She has her catch, can send him away as much as possible, if they live together he's probably paying the rent or it's a council house and they are both on benefits.

She's probably trawling the sites looking for guys and attention anyway.

I could be wrong ... but ...
