i have been in this situation once.

as far as i knew he was single and had been divorced for 7 months, turned out he was still 'happily' married.

so i told the wife the situation, what he had said to me and so on.

what set the guilt in was hearing his little girl in the back ground asking who her mummy was talking too

anyway to end the convo she told me i wasnt the first or even the 5th....more fool her for taking him back i say.

so now when looking for a poential meet, if they dont accom i presume they are married and steer well clear.

I met a single guy a few weeks ago. He was technically single - turns out I met him 3 days before his wedding!!! I have resisted the temptation to let his new wife know, but am delighted that FAB has a 'block' button lol.

I was thinking that.. I would never, even if a woman rang me, admit to anything... I would just claim to be a therapist or wrong number..

Thanks Granny but I felt stupid not guilty. I also felt incredibly sorry for his new wife. But it wasn't me doing the deceiving - guess I'm just a tart with morals

I have had the call whilst I did not lie I also did not tell the whole truth after all I was not the 1 that had lied in first place and before anyone says anything I have no problem meeting married guys so long as I know. Everyone has their own reasons for swinging and I for 1 don't judge, I know that if honest about being attached from start I'm not going to get the call or text.

I've been in the position where I met a guy through a dating site. Chatted for weeks before agreeing to meet, was led to believe he was single.

I was actually in the middle of having dinner with him when his wife called my mobile. ( She'd found a scrap of paper he'd left lying about with my number on )

I listened then passed the phone over to him saying "it's for you".

I went got my coat and then took the mobile back from him as I exited the restaurant.

He had got himself into that situation, he could get himself out of it again.

A friend used to get a lot of wrong numbers, that should have gone to the coast guard... The callers tend to ask if 'the coast was clear'...

I've not had a phone call, but after some philanderer told me he was divorced, he then left his laptop unsecured, and I had messages from his wife on both his MSN and Fab accounts.

Not nice really, as she threatened to cite me in their divorce, and told me I was a homewrecker who had ruined 6 children's lives....

So now, like some others, I assume that 'cannot accommodate' = probably married. I know there are lots of other good reasons why men cannot accommodate, but I'm very reluctant to risk repeating that experience

I arrived at a club one night and at the bar over heard a person on the phone.

I could just make out a woman screaming on the other end 'Who is mary, where is she, why does she want to wrap her legs around my husbands face'

The bloke was saying he didn't know who mary was, and he didn't know who the husband was (names redacted of course)

When he finished the call he turned to his friend and said 'Fuck that's X's wife, she has his phone and got my sext message, seems he left his phone at home when he left to come.'

X obviously discovered he'd left his phone at home and must have been on his way back because he didn't arrive at the club that night.

however in the mean time, another phone went off and again the wife screaming at a bloke 'Who is Jane' and then another phone for another bloke 'Who is Cindy' and so on ...

In the 25 mins I counted 18 phone calls as people around the room had phones og off one by one. Of course I realised by listening that the names were in alphabetical order and suggested a little intelligence could identify the next possible calls to come through ... of course I was right

See the problem here is a bunch of Transvestites who all know each other who sneak off from their wives to have 'straight girl sex' in a club!

The Wife in this case clearly caught her husband out when she got the sext message that was a little too steamy.

I get the feeling after a lot of calls she might have become very confused and concerned about all the girls names and blokes voices.

Moral of the story - don't cheat on your wife if you give everyone your phone number.

lol does remind me years ago before the internet playing wife used to leave box of OMO washing powder in window meaning "old man out " so the way was clear for her gentleman callers to pop in for a bit of hanky panky ......

he washed his overalls one day and yes put the box in the window .....

explain that one away when guys started to knock ...... oh happy days

just a quick question but what difference to your life would it make by being cited in someone's divorce papers? do you then become involved in the divorce preceedings??

not a question directly to you sunny but your post mentioned it and it just got me thinking as to what the threat there was? is it just the assumed guilt that you would have or is there actual repercussions?

from what i recal from my divorce, you cant use anyones name now, (i had a list in alphabetical order!), other half has to admit to adultery.. if not you can divorce them for unreasonable behavior... which i did

see... now what cali said worries me...

there is a difference between "i'm the not the one playing away so therefore its not my problem" and in effecting helping the person by then telling another lie.. see.. that is a calculated decision!

I wonder if it is easier for people who play with people playing away if they don't have a person to imagine at the other end..... but when that call comes along it then sort of humanises that other person

My ex actually left me for someone else, been cheated on and want to know what... Even though I knew both times, I'd never have rang the other woman.... But one did decide to come to my door and tell me in front of my kids what was going on...

When I said I know... .... I did know as I'm not stupid... She was shocked.

Now I've never had it where its come back to me.. so My _iew is what I feel now... Different when it happens...

But my _iew has always been that It's not my place to drop someone in it....

This is part of our decision,we know from 20 years experience that crap has a habit of sticking, u end up involved in another persons lies.

Its also why we are less bothered in clubs, you are not giving your name phone number and address to someone who might use you as an alibi. And they do...over and over again.

Or as Scott put it...
