its on the faq.. no reply is a no thanks.

Now as we are a couple and not got lots of meets up.. our mesaages are manageable.. when I was on as a single female. Even without a meet up. I could get 50 to 100 messages a day... put a new photo up and that doubles... add a meet and easily 400 messages.

Trust me its not that they think they are special. Also no thanks messages are often replied with nasty messages. Like " didn't want to fuck a fat ugly slut like you anyway "

With the best will in the world, many women simply don't have the time to reply to every message they get. It would be a physical impossibility. They also have lives - and real life stuff sometimes gets in the way of Fab admin .... it's not about them being rude, or 'up themselves' or similar. It's about logistics and their personal choice about how to spend their time

I usually try and respond but I regularly get messages with a header that is "..." or "x" and a message like "Hi" from a silhouette avatar profile with "I will fill in later" in the text.

If he does not want to make any effort at all why should I?

Exactly. Why message me in the first place with fancy a fuck or your gorgeous. When I havnt got any pics at all. It's not about girl power im a equal I don't put myself above anyone. But guys messaging a blank account unfortunately does make me feel jaded about anyone who messages me. Makes me feel worthless and just like a slab of meat. Not saying I wanna be wined n dined but the type of message that sticks out to me is one that's personalized. Doesn't need to be an essay just some thought to it.

We all use this site for our fun and if i was expected to reply to every message or wink, i would never have time to do my job, meet or play

we all use our profiles how we see fit and if people read the Terms and conditions it says "no reply means no thanks"

And that's exactly it OP and highlights exactly why women don't reply to every message - if a profile with no words or pictures can amass 341 messages from blokes desperate enough to message regardless imaging what it must be like for profiles that have more than that.

It's not "girl power" stuff either - it's common sense and logic - to take the above example if each of those 341 messages was replied to at let's say 3 minutes per message (by the time the original message has been read, profile of the sender viewed and reply written) that's over 1000 minutes just to deal with those!!

Then you get the replies to the reply and the vicious circle continues.

So far from being ignorance it's a perfectly acceptable response to not reply.

Looking at it another way - do you send a reply to every piece of junk mail you receive unrequested from the Nigerian Prince who wants to give you money, or the local pizza place etc? No? Thought not, the principle is the same here.

The ladies get too many messages so I believe they can't reply to all , plus a lot of guys enable disrespectful behaviour from the ladies too so that's why it is the way it is, if you travel around the world you will see that ladies are different from other cultures and might treat you differently

OP try sitting next to some ladies who are accessing their been Fab accounts after a long day at work.....to find scores of messages from men along the lines of "wanna fuck now?" Or "are you horny?" Or even "wuu2 I'm wanking"

Ladies are often bombarded with such works of high literature and simply do not have the time to reply.

And often when she says "no thanks" she gets more messages....either "awww why not?" Or abuse "i wouldn't fuck you anyway"

No, they don't. A lot of women (and couples) here get fed up with endless crass messages from guys who haven't bothered to read their profiles first. They also tend to get far more messages than guys do because there are so many more men here. Sorry but we're not going to reply to anyone who hasn't first bothered to find out if they even remotely fit what we're looking for.

I always reply to messages, but then I get so few that's easy to do.

If someone deletes my messages, so be it. If they reply then that's nice, even if it's a "no thanks". If they take they time to reply then I always reply to their reply wishing them luck (unless they've blocked me).

Manners don't cost anything, but time does and if I had 200+ messages a day I wouldn't reply to them all.

I really do think you're 'hearing what you want to hear.'

Nobody seriously thinks all single guys here are the same but there are an awful lot who just mailshot females/couples without a thought then wonder why they either don't get any replies or get told to go away. Why should anyone have to reply to dozens of random messages every week just to make the senders feel better about their laziness?

We've met and chatted to some really nice guys here but I don't suppose you'll care or remember about that comment because it contradicts your claim. The thing about them is that they bothered to find out what we were looking for BEFORE they contacted us. Nope .... but when you have 150 messages, it takes ages to reply...then you get more messages from guys asking “why am I not your type” “can you look at my profile and give me feedback” “ok can we just chat though”. So in being polite I now have to either reply again or be a bitch and block them ...can’t win. We don't get many messages. We are filtered to the max and I deliberately made our profile hostile. This is because we didn't want to be accused of being rude by not replying, yet we were tired of the daily admin task of having to reply to messages. A hostile profile seemed to be a good compromise. I do wish single guys would be a bit more understanding on this matter though, because after 3 years on Fab replying to unwanted messages, it's starts to become a tedious daily chore. You know, go to bed each night and think 'I suppose we'd better reply to those messages'. And when a couple does that every night, surely they can be forgiven for thinking 'I don't feel like replying to messages to night - I'd rather have a cuddle and talk about something else'. But then the messages build up if a night is taken off from replying. We signed up to Fab to have fun, not do admin. But the guys that throw about accusations of rudeness, I wonder how long they would be willing to do this daily admin chore before they thought 'fuck it, I'll just delete, it's not like I know them'. Would they really be willing to do this on a daily basis year after year?

A hundred messages at 2-3 minutes per message. Given that you need to read theirs, check their profile and then concoct a quick reply that's about four hours per day. Might got consider for a moment that the ladies of Fab have lives?

Now as we are a couple and not got lots of meets up.. our mesaages are manageable.. when I was on as a single female. Even without a meet up. I could get 50 to 100 messages a day... put a new photo up and that doubles... add a meet and easily 400 messages.

Trust me its not that they think they are special. Also no thanks messages are often replied with nasty messages. Like " didn't want to fuck a fat ugly slut like you anyway ""

But do you get hundreds of messages a week? Do you get hundreds of messages a week from people who haven't bothered reading the basic information on your profile? Do you get abuse when you say a polite no thanks and ten more messages wanting to know why not, trying to convince you they have a foot long cock so nothing else matters? Do you have about four or five hours free time everyday to reply to the messages? The more time you're online the more messages you get.

Since you didn't bother to do a forum search for your topic I doubt you read all profiles checking that someone is looking for you before you contact them. Do you really want people to reply and say sorry but I'm not attracted? When you reply some don't take the polite hint and after ten messages you have to be that blunt. You won't get any sympathy, just a lot of women blocking you. One thing guarantees I won't reply and that's profiles that moan about people not replying, particularly when they can't be bothered to read profiles first.

There are alot of people who do just clearly ignore or delete messages and alot of the time there are good reasons, like clearly not reading profiles or the usual, fancy a fuck messages. Also single ladies and cpls also tend to get so so many messages that it's almost impossible sometimes to reply. We however always try to reply to all even if a simple no Thanks, but again we are aware that we haven't always so apologies if we haven't to yours but it's never deliberate.

We had a message from a guy yesterday. It seems he had messaged us a year ago and we had replied. He had a picture of his tummy and didn't send a face pic. He complimented us for our pictures and asked us if we had any fun lined up for the weekend. Judging from his profile he's very into dogging which we are not interested in. Our profile says that we only meet new people in clubs or parties and that we don't use Fab for chatting. Do we have to reply to that? We don't like being rude, but he was a random faceless stranger asking us an intrusive question. And if we are to reply, what do we say? We don't really want to answer his question because that would open up a chat with a stranger that we don't want, as well as lead him on. But I realise he's just trying to make conversation so it seems a bit attitudey to say 'thanks but no thanks' when he hasn't actually made an offer. If we have to reply to every message, that means we have to rely to all messages saying 'how are you?' 'What you up to?' Then we would be forced into a conversation we never wanted. We don't use Fab chatting, we simply don't enjoy chatting to random guys on Fab. Surely that should be respected?

Exactly! My profile is to the point and I have filter on messages to reduce the amount of messages I may get that are of no interest to me. If I message first, I put though and effort plus a pic. I certainly am not offended if my message gets deleted without reply and yes, it has happened

Agree. I think it's rude for someone to send a total stranger a message saying 'you so fit' without the courtesy of introducing himself, or reading the profile as to whether such a message would be welcomed. The men who have decided that it's bad manners to ignore messages don't seem to consider that manners goes both way.
