Hi,

I've not been hugely active amongst the general scene, I was lucky enough to find some couples/girls that I meet regularly.

Following life changing for some friends (change of job location, starting a family etc) I'd like to meet another couple, possibly two depending on their frequency expectations, so started looking.

I'm discerning with who I contact, I write each recipient a distinct, non-generic message with a face pic, more if the profile requests it.

The last time I was 'looking' was a few years ago, and people replied even if their answer was merely 'No thanks'; from the 10 or so couples/ladies I've contacted more recently not one had replied, even the two couples whose profiles suggested they 'ALWAYS reply' didn't bother (makes me wonder about their 'ALWAYS play safe'... )

Is the new way/form to not reply at all unless it's positive?

Greg

p.s. Don't read my profile and assume that the messages were similarly brief, the messages were multi-line and polite!

The irony is tangible.

Hiding in the shadows

People don't reply, then it's an obvious 'not intrested'

Some get a lot of messages, often impossible to reply to all, even if just a brief reply & which can often led to being sent another unwanted message.

Couple of things about your profile that may not help either.

Your avatar pic, you cannot accommodate (always raises suspicion on a male profile) and the lack of basic text & information.

Try changing things, it may help

What I'm thinking is, so many men have joined over the past few years, that women and couples are finding it difficult to cope with the amount of messages they now receive, compared to 5/6 years ago, maybe more. Instead of replying to them all they simply delete who they aren't interested in.

I try to answer all my messages, but have to resort to blocking everyone for most of the time I'm on here, or the unread message count becomes ridiculously large.

"

And that's fine, if that's the norm now then so be it and totally understood, appreciate the response.

I have a couple of single ladies amongst my friends, until they applied some filtering to their messages they were swamped.

Seems a shame that indiscriminate messaging from some people leads to the recipients becoming inured to genuine contact attempts though.

I get hundreds a day, if you've clearly not read my profile and attached a picture like a ask then you get deleted. I'm not rude but most just look at the pics think I'll fuck her and message that person.

Nothing in fab says we have to reply.

I'm not being rude but so many single guys are now posting the same thread on the forums.

We used to reply to every message, but after a while the sheer amount of men who cant take no as an answer, we delete a lot without replying

No absolutely, I've no issue with not being messaged back, just seems different to how it used to be, and not exactly last millenium (2 years ago!). Thanks for contributing

We reply if its a genuinely well crafted message, they've clearly read our profile and it isnt just a copy and paste message sent to everyone, however such messages are rare. No need to apologies, we find it amusing how quickly men can destroy their chances, leaves us time to chat to the people we do like, and have such made some great friends

I like the attitude! Give them enough rope etc.... I always read the profiles, this isn't about rushing towards something that looks nice, much more to it than that.
