Friends or friendly with benefits

I see a lot of profiles looking for friends with benefits or mention having friends.

To me

Friendly is being polite and pleasant in comms and in a meeting. Sharing information.

Friends are someone who you talk you at any time and will be there to listen and try to help you.

So, do people want friends with benefits or friendly people with benefits?

Thoughts?

I don't get this thread. Why would anyone want to meet anyone who isn't friendly?

I want sex with people who aren't psychos. They don't have to be friendly towards me, although it's ok if they are. I don't need or want lots of friends to be there for me or chat to me. I can manage without them.

I was trying to get people's thoughts on what you mean by friends when talking about fwb.

Most people are friendly and yes, you won't have anything to do with unfriendly people. However I see friends as something close.

So when you look at your friends without benefits, are you as close to them as friends with benefits.

This is a challenge - as you've removed the original, I will have to imagine what it is that you want to do.

I'm looking for a fwb and to me that means someone that I spend time with socially as well as intimately, with no expectation for a relationship to develop

On average about the same. But then I'm not someone who has many close friends. There a many one or 2 that I would regard as friends for life and who I'm close to. But otherwise friends are friends, whether I'm fucking them, or they are just someone from work who i have a laugh with.
