What do you think about profiles that are long winded and it feels like your reading War & Peace?

Sorts the quality men from the ones who can't be arsed. Most intellectual men don't mind, I also have a lot to say, specifically because part if mine I addressing potential fuck buddies, the other potential subs, both are very different.

I tend to look at very short profiles and move on, there must not be much about them to be note worthy or to catch my interest.

Better then one liners but not too long. Describe who you are and what you want and don't want. Leave the rest for the social

Have given up on some extra long ones but Mrs reads everything if we are going to meet.

I tend skip over them in the same way I skip over profiles that use capitalisation to shout at the reader

Exactly this the op's comment is typical of a short attention span. Something too many people suffer from.

I always read profiles, before I open messages.

If the person messaging can't be bothered to write anything in their profile, why would I waste time on someone who comes across as lazy, and seems to think a couple of crappy lines saying the same generic info as many other hundreds of profiles on here is enough for me to answer.

Ultra long profiles are a definite turn off as if they go on an on it's often a sign of an over inflated ego and a tad arrogant.

Unless it's humorous of course, of which I've seen some crackers over the years.

By all means be specific and to the point but a few short paragraphs can deal with that.

my profile is lengthy but it also acts as a filter.

I can tell if someone decided not to read it.. and it shows they don't respect my preferences.. I'm not interested in anyone who is too lazy to read or ignore

a village near Haywards Heath in East Sussex

I just add updates to my profile.That makes it longer. I suppose I should rewrite it altogether sometime. If some one is interested they will read to the end. I know I do .

I've only come across a handful of profiles that are too long. I like the detail but then I'm a bit anal. Well, I love anal

I'll look at who has verified that person and then look at their profiles too sometimes. Oops.

Long profile are fine as long as they get over the facts, but the one very simple thing that both sexes seem not to understand about the other in general is that we work mentally differently and it is at a very basic level

Men are very visual and read alot from a photo, that's why porn is targeted mainly at men

Women are very mentally stimulated and reading a good profile turns her mind that's why 50 shades was to be found in so many ladies reading list

I like them it gives me a chance to find out about the woman or couple.

I would much rather read a long profile than profiles with one line like

Will fill this on soon.

Ask me anything.

Looking for fun.

Etc.
