Face pics

Okay, so I totally understand the discretion part, but something I'm finding bizarre about this site is the lack of face pics... And when I've looked at a few profiles I've read women say "when you message me attach a face pic, I want to see who I'm talking to". Well surely it works both ways?! I realise that a lot of single guys on here would message anyone, but I certainly wouldn't.

A lady winked at me once who had written something similar so I messaged her and asked for a face pic. She just deleted my message and didn't respond. What's all that about?

I joined the site a few months ago as I was doing research for my radio documentary about swingers' clubs. I decided to stay once I had finished and see what happens. After all, I love sex! But I think I'm just going to meet people in clubs and not waste my time on here...

Any thoughts?

If you researched then I'm sure you realised that not all profiles are real.

You get men pretending to be women or couples.

Perhaps you contacted one of these?

Or maybe it was a woman and she just didn't like the look of you ?

I'd say that you need to tailor your searches to meet your requirements.

If you want photos and verifications search on those...

If you let something like that turn you off.....

There and to the left a bit

If you've sent a face pic yourself in the first place or have them visible on your profile then if there's an interest a face pic in return would be the obvious next step - however if there's no interest (either as a result of your profile or your face) then I don't see the need to necessarily respond with a face pic.

It all ties back to the fact that the ladies here get a lot of messages and no response meaning no interest - it's the way of Fab no point worrying about it

As I said she winked at me first. Which I thought was a sign to message.

Honestly I can't work this website out. Some people would rather have pussy or dick pics as their profile pic than a face picture. I get that everyone on here loves sex and being naughty etc but surely the face is still HUGELY important!

I don’t plan to show my face on here but also don’t expect anyone to show me there’s.

Remember though we still live in a world where when I guy is found on here by his mates it’s still GO ON SON GET IN THERE, this is not the same for ladies I’m afraid, if my work colleagues found me I really think I would be given the cold shoulder.

So what I’m saying is professional or not some people simply want to keep there life on here as private as possible from others

As a single on here you are mostly using this as a dating site or site for NSA sex.

Absolutely fine, you are single.

However - and I know your original post doesn't question couples - but as a couple you have a lot of people who don't understand or accept that a married couple could even be on here.

Not only do we need to be wary of other people's prejudices toward us as a couple, we also have to protect our kids from the same.

Sex is still a taboo, it shouldn't be but it is. One of our daughters came home one day to say that another pupil had called XX a slag - simply because we have a larger than average family.

Imagine what would happen if it got out we were swingers.

Hence hiding the faces on here. It's to protect our family and keep them innocent from what is perceived as an unacceptable behaviour to most people.

We shouldn't have to, and it would be great not to have to. But unfortunately we do have to be discreet.

Seems awfully like someone still doing research to me..peoples discretion is there choice and forcing the subject just makes its more obvious you are digging for info.

Jesus Christ how paranoid are some of you?! Hahaha. As I said, I've FINISHED my documentary. I'm now just using the site to try and get laid. I'm using the forums to ask questions and try to understand the site a bit better. As someone else said, as a single (straight) guy, I'm not really a swinger.

But yeah, I find Tinder more useful so I'll just stick to that.

If anyone wants to listen to my documentary by the way just DM me

If people put on face pics they can be identified by anyone.

We don't really eant to be in the pub / asda etc and be pointed out by some random person who has seen us on here.

Also, not keen on researchers / journalists doing the same.

The etiquette is, if you ask for a face pic, you provide yours first, it's quite simple really, you asked, you didn't supply one, she deleted, nothing confusing at all, all she did was wink and even that might have been a mistake.

I find there are too many men that make presumptions on here without even trying out the basic skill of conversation or social skills before diving in and being too personal.

So, let me get this straight.

You have produced a documentary about swinging? I would assume that would entail much research, leading to a clearer understanding of the subject?

But you dont get why people dont want to show face pics?

And you dont get why you cant seem to get layed?

I would deduce two things from what you've said.

Either you arent being truthful about the 'research' or you havent listened to a bloody word any of the people canvassed have told you?

Pull your head out of your backside. The people I spoke to were open about swinging. They don't hide it. But I do appreciate that they are a minority.

But the rest of you who don't even want to show your face are the ones I don't understand. And in my opinion, it's people like you who make the general public think you're seedy. Just like that C4 documentary about dogging where everyone wore masks. Just be honest and up front about it and you'd get more respect. From me anyway."

If you did research the subject you would know that the lifestyle is still frowned upon by a vast majority of people in society. This makes discretion a necessity that most people here both understand and appreciate. As previously stated, this is done not only to protect ourselves and our careers, but our loved ones as well. More so with respect to women due to social bias.

Want to get laid? By all means go and use Tinder. You'll probably have a greater chance of success there. But don't critisize those on here that value their privacy first and foremost.

My face isn't visable on my photos but I will always send face pics outs and I expect the same in return. Always happy to go on cam to see each other too.

If we were single and care free on here, we would happily have public face pics.

However, in a world where sex is looked upon as a dirty deed, and should be kept behind closed doors, we need to think about protecting our families.

Not everyone is as open minded about sex. And it's certainly something we wouldn't want our families stumbling across, or even being told about our 'indiscretions'.

I have no problem with what we do - too many other people will have a problem and will not understand.

That's why we hide our faces, to protect the people we love, not to hide ourselves away. We do have face pics, but keep them for private.

If that doesn't help you understand, nothing will.

It absolutely is (sorry for split infinitive!). For us anyway. The most important thing. But not many genuinely appeal. I can usually pick what Cleo likes. If it doesn't look right I don't even bother showing her. I don't always respond to face pics when I know there is no point. Otherwise a "polite no". But even that can be awkward.

We would only send our face pics when we are 100% sure the profile is not fake and have got to know someone.

We both worry about the effect it could have on our careers should someone misuse our pics.
