Number of times they will meet the same person to prevent emotional attachments.

I'm thinking particularly of open relationship type meets where one person is playing away with consent.

Or a single person who doesnt wany someone to become attached to them

I don't think there is a magic number. I go by vibes and feeling. I call it a day if I get the instinct it isn't how I want it to be. It's quite simple to do.

No. I meet someone until they either move away, get a girlfriend, they get someone better, or it's run it's course.

I'd agree with this fully as you get a gut feeling when things have run their course.

That's a good question and really interested to see how it is answered. I tend to need a personal connection to even meet someone but I can usually keep my emotions under control but thay doesn't mean to say I will be able to do that for regular meets.....hard question

You feel more relaxed with someone you meet regular. It can be more fun and there is no number of times your allowed to meet. Has long has your both smiling after each meet just keep going.x

Definitely this, I'm very aware of vibes and if I got the feeling things crossed a line I wasn't comfortable with then it would be time to do something about it.

I agree with this. Never got to more than 5 before they start getting a bit too full on for me

I never developed feelings so far but am fairly aware of when guys start to become too attached. but there is nothing better than feeling really comfortable around someone you can just message for some uncomplicated sex when needed

Nope - but maybe should have with my old fuck buddy, who out of the blue declared that she loved me just as I was heading home one night

What interests me is the requirement to prevent emotional attachment. It's an interesting aspect of open/swinger relationships. We are in a serious long term relationship but if we must defend against emotional attachment we must therefore recognise it is possible to fall for another. And then you must ask is it wrong to fall for another or deny your self attachment to someone else who worthy of your attachment? I guess that's why some people recognise that aspect of them self and seek a ploy relationship. I suppose this deffinatly opens up an added factor of risk through exposure to these intense situations in any open/swinger relationships. Personally I see a world were a whole multiple of diffent relationships both emotional and sexual are possible, the lines can sometimes be very blurred. I have myself blurred the relationship bouderies on many occasions. But I think as a rule of thumb (most people) for a successful long term relationship (and an easy head fuck free life) you should be very careful and avoid oppertunities for attachment and messiness. I would say it's not so much about the number of meets, I once formed a very deep connection in one night. It's about setting boundries, being clear about those boundries with the other people and calling a stop to it if any are broken by either party. Or be monogamous but where's the fun in that.

no. if i have feelings for someone i don't mind, and i don't expect anyone to reciprocate those feelings or feel like i have to act on them myself.

only time i never want to meet someone again is when they leave me feeling used.

It's happened twice to me but in both cases we didn't leave the site, two profiles were replaced with one

Its never happened to me except when i met g and we are now married (to each other).

We tend to meet guys maybe 2 times and thats it although thats not because we have become attached to them but just because it seems to be the natural end.

I have no issues with developing feelings for someone, and I have no issues if my husband does. It doesn't effect our marriage and how feel feel about each other. It is true I will occasionally get hurt, but it's always fun while lasts.

Very true. And meeting others soon gets .eeBay over the attachment by moving on and upwards. ..

No.

We'll meet people, until things naturally run their course. Or, they do something that makes one or both of us uncomfortable.

I had what I suppose you would call an affair. For over a year I had sex with the same guy. I never let myself feel anything for him and only ever met for sex. He on the other hand got a little attached. He talked about leaving his wife but I told him it wasn't for me. I was happy where I was. He accepted it thankfully and has since left his wife anyway. so I guess id defiantly not meet anyone more than a handful of times. It could have gone so differently.

Once they start leaving their stuff at yours e.g. towel, toothbrush or u start arguing & making up mmm then maybe it's developing into something else.
