Tinder for Unicorn hunting

Anyone have any experience of using Tinder or Grindr as a couple?

Is it possible that only the people you swipe can see your page?

On pof anyone can see your page. You can set it to private though. I'm guessing it's the same for Tinder. I have found couples on pof in the past.

On Tinder anyone can see your profile but you can only message if you both swipe for each other. One thing I would say though is do state you are a couple and have pics of both of you. I personally found it frustrating when I (R, on my single profile) matched with who I thought was another girl only for them to pull a guy out of thin air.

I started chatting to a guy on tinder. Made it very clear I was married (and hubby knew I was on there. I had permission.) I said I was open to friendship and sexual fun but nothing emotional, no strings, no complications...

So this guy chatted for a while to me, he seemed nice, and he said he understood it was no strings. We were in the process of arranging to meet up, but the alarm bells started to ring with some of the things he was saying. Going on about wanting to spoil me, and lavish romance on me etc. It started to sound a lot more as though he wanted to date me than anything else.

The final straw came when we were meant to meet one day and he insisted he wanted to see me the next day too. I said there's no way I could meet him two days in a row... I have a husband and 4 kids. Well he didn't like being told that.

I ended up telling him that hubby and I had closed our marriage and that I couldn't meet him at all. The vibe from this guy was seriously way too full on, I can't even explain it, you'd need to see the messages really.

He immediately got very angry with me, then three days later out of the blue my hubby got an angry message request on Facebook from this guy! He'd actually stalked and found my other half on social media!

With the message he sent hubby it was obvious that this guy assumed that an open marriage was a broken marriage. He didn't understand that we could be happy yet open. It became very clear that he had expected to muscle in and sweep me off my feet given that he assumed there was something wrong between hubby and I. Totally wrong mindset there on his part!

Absolutely creepy and there's NO way I would use tinder again. I run comic cons and at my last one I was terrified this guy was going to turn up to it! I've been watching over my shoulder for weeks!

I really think it's best to stick within the swinger community to find people. Anyone outside is unlikely to have the right mindset and you could end up with a nutcase.
