Books about swinging

I'm an omnivorous reader, and am looking to find out more about the swinging lifestyle. Can anyone recommend any books about swinging?

I'm more interested in the psychology behind swinging rather than a pile of gratuitous shagging scenes.

I've already read "Swinging: The Games Your Neighbours Play" by Mark Brendon which did seen to cover a lot of the ground I'm interested in, although at times it did dive off into a bit of "Hey look at how much sex I'm getting!!!" territory.

Any suggestions folk?

As I say, I'm not really looking for "Dear Penthouse" type stories, hell there's enough of that available for free over at literotica.

Guess I'm looking to learn more about what makes swingers tick I guess.

Ours is available to preorder from next week.

Its mainly a guide to the clubs in the UK with all them classified, reviewed or summarised.

But there is also a guide to web sites in it, general info on etiquette, and several interviews including 4 couples, three singles, a former club owner and a transexual.

We are doing a whole series of 6 of them, this is just the first one.

Its pretty much a swingers handbook really. We wanted to make very different and much more practical than anything else that was out there.

The web site address is on our profile, you can pre-order it from next Friday, we do final corrections and proofs and it goes to the printers in September.

We already have masssive pre-orders like you would not believe, so we have actually doubled the print run and we havent even really started advertising it yet.

It will be at Erotica, and also there is a launch night at both Ourplace4fun and ClubLick, plus we are doing a tour of it round clubs in the UK, another 8 of them I think.

Ironically one of the models for the book, plays one of the roles in the movie 'The Big Swap'

Cheers folk, proberbly should have specified that I'm not looking for novels or films about swinging. Thanks for the suggestions all the same though!

@_lubpartypeeps: will your book be available for digital download? e.g. in *.mobi format for kindle?

In response to your inquiry, yes

You will be able to buy it as a PDF from the website the same time as you can pre-order the book.

We are doing Ipod apps as well, but they won't be ready for a while yet, as thats a new bag for us.

Hmmm, analogy of 'People meet, they fuck - the end...'

We can advance a few variations on that theme... ten of the top of my head without really even thinking about it would be...

People meet, one party lied about their profile – they don’t fuck – The End

People go for a meet, other party doesn’t turn up – scenes a waste of time – The End

Couples meets third party, they turn up wearing sweats and have poor hygiene – The End

Single goes to club, has no social skills, follows people everywhere, keeps trying to touch them, doesn’t get any action, goes home grumpy – The End

Nervous couple wants to explore the scene – goes to wrong club – never goes out again… The End

Couple arranges hotel meet via the web, gets to the hotel and no one is there to meet them – The End

Nervous couple goes to club on wrong night, leaves early – The End

Couples turn on is female flirting with girls – go to club, have a good time – The End

Couple has a fantasy of fucking in a Jacuzzi while other people watch, goto club, fulfilling the fantasy – The End

Nervous first time couple goes to the right club on the right night, loves the scene, wants to explore more clubs and meets more people – The End? HARDLY…..

We certainly hope so.

People haven't written books about their experiences on The Scene before...

But NO ONE has done a guide book, this is the very first one.

peak district

We have 'Swinging' by Mark Brendon (as a kindle download) and think it is very accurate and very honest, and erotic without being 'sensational'. If you were thinking about getting involved, this book would convince you that it's natural, enjoyable and nothing to be worried about.

Lynn Paul Russell's "Sexcitement' has a section on swinging which is very informative too.
