I have noticed quite a few demanding profiles who 'threaten' wound be suitors with being blocked if they dont meet there demands (sorry preferences, which ate often listed and extremely unrealistic) . Does anybody message these people , or does the 'threat' of being blocked deter them.

P.S if a certain guy on here responds with the old 'it's up to them what they write, it's there profile blah blah ' I will block him forthwith

I have some say that will block me and things if i dont meet again ...... ones a local man feel i should just get in the car when he mails me , lol

we only contact other people who share our likes and dislikes. Can't see much point in operating any other way

I might message if I was in a minxy mood just to piss them off and then block them before they could reply

But generally I avoid demanding shouty profiles that make threats like that

They don't come across as attractive to me so I would'nt have an interest

I tend to agree, it just makes them look extremely arrogant , it usually goes hand in hand with SHOUTY profiles and a serious lack if verifications

Got to say at 1 point I had a bit of a shouty profile, but that was within the 1st couple of months of joining. When your still viewed as fresh meet.

Once I worked out the filters and where the block button was for the pushy/abusive, I was able to make my profile less shouty.

dont really see the chance of being blocked as a threat as such, more of a challenge! cant be arsed with people who have loads of 'demands' on their profile. what i tend to do if i'm in the mood is message them and include total opposites to what they 'demand' and see what happens!! some block, some delete but suprising some answer and are actually quite nice!

Good tactic, I might give it a try, either that or lie through my teeth so that I meet all their demands and see how I get on

There is a cpl by me with a very demanding negative profile. Every monday morning they update their status along the lines of 'why won't anyone meet us..'

If I went into a bar I wouldn't be attracted to the bloke thats shouting and demanding, so it would be no different on here. Tends to be couple or single fem profiles though, blokes have a hard enough time without ranting as well!

I am not on their list, but when I log in in can see status updates of all fems and cpls by me who want to meet single guys - thought that was normal for everyone ?

I think he us refering to the local update list, which we all have

Ah, I see..... I never bother looking at those things. I just wondered when you said they had them listed on their profile.

I managed to organise a very sexy photoshoot by replying to someone's status update - so like to keep my eye on them

I'm not keen on people who have negativity on their profile, shouty capitals saying WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR and then have a bloody long list of what they aren't looking for. Why not just write a profile with what you are looking for and a bit about yourselves and have nothing negative in it.

Similarly with war and peace lengthy profiles, it seems to me that people are too bothered about playmates following a set criteria and filling a tick box and not deviating from that rather than using common sense when messaging and talking to them before making up their mind regarding a meet.

But people do what they want, we all reap what we sow in relation to how our profiles project ourselves

If I see a profile suggesting the you will be blocked,reported,named,shamed,beaten with a shitty stick kind of stuff it just makes me think "saddos" why would I want to know people like that anyway,

just relax its only a swinging site and there are plenty more fish in the sea and all that.

Well I guess people usually end up with the profile which works for them... or they are pretty daft. I think that the male half of a couple is often pretty unsympathetic to the single male and this can have an influence of the wording sometimes. My hubby is very fussy on my behalf about who he trusts to get so close to the wife he adores. I guess a slight protective thing is healthy as long as its not driven by the wrong emotions. He is very generous once happy that I will be safe and happy though. Our profile is worded by trial and error. We wanted to be very clear about who we were looking for and what we were offering so that we filtered out bad matches before message stage. Doesnt always work but its not bad and we have had plenty of people congratulating us on having such a well formed comprehensive profile (even couples who we dont meet from Fab anyway). Tends to attract the right type of guy who is confident and eloquent as well as physically attractive. The point is.... it seems to work for us which is what counts. If it stops working we will review of course.

If some profiles seem standoffish then maybe it is lead by frustration or actually just here for the crack and not actually wanting to meet. Whatever works for them I guess.

Some do have lists on profiles and say will block if not like this and that ...... alot of the time its single woman or couples you dont see alot of men doing it .. puts me off people really if i see alot of it as think what the hell thay like in normal life .

Very well said, your profile does have preferences but is written in a non aggressive manner, if other people adopted the same approach they would not come across as arrogant
