Here's the scenario

Arrange to meet 5 cpls at various times throughout the day at chams.

All cpls are well established on friends list

2 cpls we met before quite recently

Only one turned up

Only one bothered to tell us they couldn't make it

Am I wrong to be disheartened ?

Not wrong at all, but chin up and crack on.

I once arranged 6 meets at The Attic once, not one turned up and ended up playing with someone I had never met before.

After that I vowed not to pre arrange meets at clubs

We only met at clubs. (OK sometimes we attempt dogging)

This scenario whilst unfortunate does not change our minds about or arranging meets at clubs.

You takes your chances. Nothing is guaranteed.

If our meet doesn't show, the clubs are busy places and if no one takes our fancy - well the rooms still call to be played in with the bonus of not waking our neighbours or sleeping on the wet patch
