Going from a passion fueled relationship to nothing is so dispiriting. It makes you question everything about yourself. A vicious inward spiral starts and it is replaced by avoidance through longer hours at work.

Perhaps because the person you love with all your heart has lost their libido. And what makes it worse they are tormented by it.

We permit each to explore the notion that it is a loss of attraction and seek to restore passion with others. It just makes the loss of what we had feel worse.

Medication can work on physical aspects. Finding libido is way more difficult, there doesn't seem to be pill for that.

I go through phases, from none for years, to loads for a few years on the trot.

I've had so much great/satiating sex that if I died tomorrow I'd feel blessed. I just don't understand how it happens, I know plenty of couples that started with well matched sex drives, even couples who met on fab, once they are married sex gets less and less frequent until non-existant. I mean I get how life can get in the way, tired from working, housekeeping, raising kids etc... but to end up with no sex at all? I just don't get it

Illness physical and mental, injury, resentment, one partner expects sex but makes no personal effort, menopause, impotence, physical disability, the list goes on.
