Have you tried using dildo's on your self? It might be best to get used to the sensation of being penetrated and your wife getting an idea of strokes and what you like using her hand before trying with a strap on, a good harness is a must as I've found cheaper ones are more difficult to control the position and the movement.

One other thought, if your a newbie to anal fun, perhaps leave the double ended bit to start with so your wife can concentrate on your enjoyment and more importantly your comfort.

Many thanks for your thoughts and advice. With regard to anal play I have a modest butt plug which we have had enjoyment with but I'm def no hardened receiver! The tip about a good harness makes a great deal of sense. Not something I'd thought about.

I've not tried strap on fun myself but have looked at plenty of kits and reviews on lovehoney.

From what I've seen on there and from other posts on here it can be quite tricky to use the double ended ones and the ladies can struggle to keep them inserted.

I would suggest looking for a beginners kit, lovehoney do them for around £30. There is no point spending a fortune on an expensive strap on if you don't know if it's for you. You can always invest in something bigger and better later on.
