As one of the thousands of men on this site,

We all know the cards are stacked against us.

So the use of cut and paste introduction messages WHY IS IT SO WRONG???

Ladies ???

The number of well written messages that are not even read is a bit of putting.

I have recently been told off for doing this

But ladies if you cannot be arsed to even read the messages we sent

How can you complain if we send a short message, yes it may be a cut and paste job

But this is not lazy ..

Enough of the rant ??????

What do people think about this

I have been told off by a couple of recipients lately but do not see what harm there is

It doesn't bother me really, I can see why men don't bother painstakingly crafting a hilarious and individual message to each woman when they so often get deleted anyway.

Unless they forget to change it from their couples copy/paste message to their single woman's copy/paste message, then they can fuck off

I'm not sure how people can tell if it's a cut and paste job unless they've not changed a name or something!

I've had the same message from the same guy 3/4 times when I asked him why even though I'd told him I wasn't interested he said he couldn't be bothered to write personal messages to everyone.

I get that to a certain degree but it's still a bit annoying....

I want to meet someone who's sending messages to a very select few, not spamming the whole site. If you need to copy and paste, you're likely to be doing the latter.

OP your profile sounds good..however as a shop window advert...its a bit shit..my theory is people will look at your profile and move onto one where they can see something.

I dont go down the whole route of sending exhaustive messages myself...I also dont start my profile off in a negative manner(I'd imagine that could be off putting to some also)

I can't stand them when they've not taken the time to read your profile, send the exact opposite to what you want, can do etc. Surely if they have cut and pasted they have differing messages for differing requirements!!??

Would like to add

I would love to craft a humorous and personal message to the ladies that I do contact

But if most of these recipients do not read the Shakespeare's tomes that come out of my literary mind

Get automatically deleted or don't bother replying

So I ask what is the POINT

Politeness is a two way streak

I have even spent time in putting together a well versed profile which in most cases is not even read

Enough ranting for the night

When they send you the same message a few times over a week or two.

When it has a different name in the text.

Also there are some very generic messages we've seen that I can't guarantee were copied and pasted but sound very all purpose.

I don't mind if the guts of the message are copy and paste but at least add a line or two specific to the recipient.

I agree with what someone suggested before, that it's suggestive of a scattergun high volume approach. We'd rather spend time on people who have taken a moment to read our profile and put together a few relevant lines.

But if you're asking for a quality message _and_ it's from a bloke who's not an idiot, I'm definitely going to struggle. Maybe that's the problem too

Back to the OP, if there was a message that worked to everyone, I think we'd all quite like to know it. What is this message, we demand to be told, who's with me?

Cut and paste is no problem for us as long as you remember to change the names.

More important to us is that you've read our profile and ensured we're compatible . If we then message back the responses that follow are more important.

I don't mind a half and half copy and paste message. So a little bit about yourself maybe something that isn't in your profile. After that maybe pick up bits that stand out to you on their profile. It really doesn't take that long but I suppose you get out what you put in.

For guys, it's a numbers game. I know that in order to get a meet I have to contact 100 women to find one that is both interested and with similar availability. It's just too time consuming to do that while crafting a personalized message for everyone...

Makes me think A)... You actually did cum over the profile in question lol... which isn't necessarily a bad thing lol... B) The lol's are unnecessary and kinda make me think personally that you're not really very serious about the person you've chosen to send the message to.

D) I'd take the 'please' out because if the woman is interested she'll contact you without being pleaded with.

Re your second message option I'd reword it to say "I don't take life too seriously and would love to spend some time having fun with you as you look like you know how to have a good time!"

Obviously this is all just my humble opinion lol x

I might be on the minority here, but I send personalised messages out to those people I'm interested in.

Cut & Paste? I wouldn't even know how to do it on my phone, as that device is the sole item I use for Fab communications.

But to me, Cut & Paste is the height of laziness, as you copy what has been done before.

I actually have received praise and in turn, meets, from people who have welcomed the personal message approach.

Yes, every approach message I send out is different but it works for me.

I write personalised messages because each human being is different and I aim to treat people how I want to be treated ie with care, tlc and intimacy therefore I receive the same back...

And when I don't get the same back I move on to people who appreciate what I have to offer...

This approach to life in general gives me satisfactory, fun results hence me not posting a thread up about not receiving the responses I'd like off peeps in here... just sayin' lol x

Your profile is your cv. Your introductory message is your covering letter. You personalise your covering letter based on the profile of the person or persons you are messaging. Any details that you wish to share about yourself are going to be the same for each message within reason. I dont see any reason for that not to be templated.

Whether I would reply to that would depend solely on the quality of the profile. It doesn't give me anything else to really respond to. It's not at all personal and doesn't ask any open ended questions. I wouldn't delete it without replying automatically though.
