I've had mine pierced and let them heal up and had them re pierced several times. I don't find it particularly painful to have them pierced but it hurts like **** and bleeds a LOT if you accidentally rip one out.

It does increase sensitivity,maybe a little too much,having your pierced nipples tweaked,kissed or nibbled is lovely but can become slightly irritating after a while.

In my opinion, pierced nipples look fantastic,though.

You've got me considering having mine done again,in fact,,,I'm going to today.

I love mine, it took around 5 months for them to heal up and if I catch them now is it still temporarily sore, but I really enjoy them.

My nipples and breasts have always been really sensitive, I like them sucked and licked (not too intensly), and definitely not squeezed too hard.

I don't feel that by getting them pierced particularly changed the sensitivity, although I have had semi erect or fully erect nipples eversince they were pierced.

Most salons will offer you some numbing spray to de sensitise the area to be pierced.

I couldn't say whether it is effective or not.

I love the look of pierced nipples - on myself and others - and have found my nipples have definitely increased in sensitivity since getting them done. Yes - it hurts and the second one is worse because you know what's coming but they don't stay sore for long.

Just be very careful if you wash with one of those shower net things ...

Definitely need to wear a soft bra possibly with some cotton wool pads in for a couple of weeks.

I can't imagine why you didn't think of that.

Yippee,,,,just had 'em both re pierced. No anaesthetic spray or nuffink.The place was packed with off school kids getting their first ear piercings,,,the only people not whining and crying were me and this little 5 year old,she got both ears done and never batted an eyelid.Respect to her.Mind you,I did have a VERY large glass of wine afterwards.

I'll post a pic as soon as I can summon up the courage to peel my bra away.

I recently got both mine re-pierced 3 mths ago aft having one done in my 20's but had to take it out when breast feeding 12yrs ago.

wish I done it sooner, never had any problems wiv them, but can't say if it makes them less sensitive as they weren't sensitive to being wiv
