swinging,real or just a game

ok we have been members here for a couple of years and have found the swinging scene increasingly more frustrating,it seems the whole scene is abused by people only interested in copping a photo or time wasting,how big is the scene and are we in the wrong place as its getting to the point where we either give up or try and find out what we are doing wrong,any comments are very welcome

the number of people finding swinging is growing due to the internet and as such so have the time wasters

in the old days it was hard to find other swingers, now its hard to find true swingers.

but there are a lot of good ones out there

Hi!

Sorry that you feel like that, I know there are some idiots on here but there are also loads of very genuine people. Don't let the time wasters put you off, they're dead easy to spot and deal with and it can actually be fun dealing with them! We have found that going to clubs as well as other 'outing's works well and supplements the people that you can meet from the sites.

You're not in the wrong place and don't give up - it's too much fun!

We tend to go go to the clubs more to find genuine couples.. at least they are there for the same reason ( Hopefully) !!!

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, but I do think the whole scene has changed a little though.

For us long timers swinging is a lifestyle, and sites like these allow us to get in touch with people who share our point of view on life. However swinging is becoming more fashionable these days and it's attracting a lot of people who simply see it as a way of getting "cheap and easy" sex. I've seen it on many sites.

The other problem is also the fact that more and more swinging sites are adopting the same template as Facebook, which only attracts people who want to collect "friends" but aren't interested in swinging.

All of this just makes it more difficult for the true swingers amongst us. Whereas you could assume that anyone on these sites was a real swinger now it needs much more work to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Good point but how do you find the good ones is there something we arent putting in our profile or not doing to attract them or is it just pot luck ?

Hi and thanks,we have had some good luck but a awful lot of bad luck as well where swinging is concerned and have never considered a club mainly due to concerns over single males having paid and want value,God we sound knave lol

Got to be honest..

We have great fun on this site, some seriously seriously sexy people about and not just sexy but really nice with it....

yes, you get the fakes, the miserable gits.. the people that take the whole scene so serious they think they invented it but on the whole we find most really nice..

As was said... we also find it fun sifting through the crap.. cause when things work out well it makes it all the more worth it..

Same on all sites.. Nothing new in all you said!

oh dont we know it lol we have 4 children and arent particularly flush but we make the best of it and fully understand when others are having issues with meets due to family and as we like to call them real life issues,swinging isnt our life just a extension of it,probably could call it a hobby but hey what a hobby lol,thanks for your thoughts x

We were nervous the first time we went to a club, but luckily we went with one other newbie cpl and a regular cpl who had been there before.

Dont worry about the "single male" problem, as far as I am aware, no still means no lol!

Most clubs have private rooms with lockable doors, and the one we go to has a "cpls only" room too, which tends to keep interfierence from males down a bit.

thanks for the comment,the advice on clubs is more than welcome as we are starting to see the club scene as a real option to combat the timewaster and no show situation as im sure we all know what the no show feeling is like xx

What you 'may' be doing wrong (since you asked) is judging the whole swinging scene by what goes on here. You've got verifications and a list of friends. If you're not finding what you're looking for by prowling the site use those contacts to expand your horizons. Meet friends of friends (the way swinging used to be).

Very interesting thread.

We're new to swinging, we viewed sites like this for a long time, before deciding to register.

In the short space of time we've been here, we've also had our fair share of time wasters, but like has been mentioned, there seem easy to spot.

We have very few friends in the real world, we joined here in the belief we could met "genuine" friends as well as sexual buddies.

Time will tell.

good point and thankyou but one thing we have noticed is that people dont seem to stay around the swinging scene for long,people move on or drift into other avenues,long term friends would be a absolute dream for us and we have found friends of ours dont tend to pass on good swinging friends when they have found them lol

There's certainly that issue. Some people dip their toe in swinging for a few months and then, for all sorts of reasons, move on. That's maybe a function of the easier accessibility the internet has brought - if you don't have to work for something you value it less. I mentioned elsewhere about meeting a couple in my early days nearly 30 years ago. I still see them and friends I've met through them over the years. Few of them use the internet to meet new folks.

I know what you mean about couples keeping friends to themselves but I firmly believe that's shortsighted of them.
