And we're sure there'll be plenty more to come. The sad thing is plenty of guy's messaged us when we put up our status regarding wanting a meet, and we turned them down because of an idiot.

we had one last year got chatting online for a while exchanged numbers kept in touch come the night of the meet rang an said they were on the way "20mins away" 2hrs passed an still nothing not picking up phone answering texts or even online what pissed us off was that it took bloody ages to get a sitter by 11pm we had enough an went out hate to say it but there out there be warned

It's due to Muppets like that we won't make an effort to meet single men anymore, we now say they come to us or we meet socially first.

Try not to let this fool put you off, there are lots of nice guys on here - as well as a few idiots.

Sadly he suffered no loss as he almost certainly never intended to go anyway. 75% who agree to a meet simply don't turn up.

I would recommend you organise 3 or 4 reserves when you have a meet. Tell them they are reserves and get them to agree that you can call them last minute. At least you will get a meet that way.

Thanks for the replies guys. Thankfully we'd arranged to meet at our home so there was no loss to us regarding expense/travel etc. Best not to dwell and look back though, better to look forward to all our future FAB meets!

I used to stick to that rule but recently I encountered a verified time waster! They're everywhere and I thought I had got great at avoiding them lol

Best thing is just swiftly delete/block and move along xx

Exactly - the reality immediately exposed bears no perceivable relationship to what you would have been given to understand before by the "universal message" of most talk and "rules" in society.

We've met great people in swinging and found a "happy place". It's worth overcoming this "bump in the road" which you were going to meet anyway

Timewasters are rife , and we adopt a simple rule . No second chances . We block them .

However , as last night shows , it really is their loss . Three guys promised they would attend an organised outdoor meet and not one turned up . We won't block them yet , they can see from the veris what they missed . Then come the usual apologies and excuses , ( my gran died , my car broke down etc...) will come , and then we will block them .

There's nothing anyone can do about it apart from being pro active . Have a back up plan , expect nothing , and as you have each other it's never a complete let down .

It's only happened to me once, when I was first on here and naive. Accepted on face value that a couple was a couple, got five mins from their place to get a messaging saying The female has had to go out, but the male half would 'look after me' ....... obviously now I realise that most couples are blokes! Lesson learned

I was going to say the same thing. When couples have no shows, it's disappointing for them , but at least they can ease up some of the disappointment by comforting and playing with each other.

Single men / women end up having to suck it up all on their own.

Could be wrong but I guess most no shows are due to cold feet. Randiness can make one brazen and bold. Once wanked out then the bold and the brave become something insipid altogether.

Nothing wrong with that in principle, but at the very least they should let the people they're letting down know. Sadly a reflection on society morals and the way some of us treat each other.

It happens I guess, however much you try to do to avoid it, some will always slip through the net. I was staying in a hotel a few weeks ago, got chatting to a nice guy who was local, exchanged numbers and text for a bit, spoke on the phone then got silence on the morning of the meet. I then left a message saying as I hadn't heard from him I'll assume he cannot make it and wished him well. I met someone else by the way

People can and do change their minds, things come up but it would be nice if people were mature enough just to let you know.

Men sometimes think they can be worse than wemon to try figure out but his loss and as others said use clubs me and my other half do but we have yet to meet another couple or single lady maybe one day our luck will change xx

Yep and we meet at home a lot, so I spend time making the house nice for our guests, not that my house is dirty before you ask!

Preparation time for ladies getting ready isn't funny when you get let down. Think I might change tonight's meet to a club instead

Always annoying when you turn down another meet for someone who cancels or doesn't turn up. Still, the other one might not have turned up either.

One option, if you're meeting at yours, is to accept both and see who turns up. All the more fun if both do. Obviously they need to be up for that scenario too, but a lot seem to be.
